YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food Aldi is selling a giant ostrich Easter egg and it’ s already on eBay for double the price By You Magazine - March 15, 2019 Easter is a time of great joy and lots of chocolate, and this year supermarket retailer Aldi has taken their Easter selection to another level with a giant ostrich egg. Weighing in at 800g and at 28cm long and 22cm wide, this is not your average egg, and is actually even bigger than a real life ostrich egg (which generally comes in at around 15cm long and 13cm wide). Aldi Before you begin to question it, yes, the egg is still made of chocolate. In fact, it sounds like some of the dreamiest chocolate we’ve ever heard of; white chocolate has been blended with caramel sugar powder for a unique, delicious flavour. Intriguing, to say the least. The Moser Roth Giant Ostrich Egg is so popular in fact, that it is currently being sold on eBay for nearly double the price of its RRP (£14.99). At £25, some eBay users are hoping to cash in on our chocolate obsession. However, despite being sold out in a few stores, you can still buy the egg at the majority of Aldi branches, so it’s worth trying before you fork out more money for yours. If this doesn’t take you fancy, Aldi has a number of new Easter offerings, all as swanky as the last! Our personal favourite is the Moser Roth Hand Decorated Ripple Egg, which is pretty fantastic to look out, and will only set you back £4.99. Aldi You could also try the (rather decadent looking) Moser Roth Single Origin Cocoa Pod for £4.99, which comes in milk or dark chocolate, and in two shiny colourful designs. Aldi In other Easter egg news, there are plenty of exciting, quirky flavours to try this year if you’re feeling adventurous. For example, M&S is selling a prosecco flavoured egg, then there’s an avocado egg from Waitrose, a flat pack bunny by IKEA, and even a marmite flavoured egg by Asda.
