Not only is Bungalow 1 at The Beverly Hills Hotel the suite Marilyn herself used to frequent, it’s also been renovated, and is now named after her. Oh, and it’s open to the public to book into – but it’ll cost you. Rex Features/Shutterstock Harpersbazaar.com is reporting the suite will set you back an astonishing $8500 a night, while The Beverly Hills’ website simply says the price is available upon request. Either way, it’s going to be one expensive hotel stay. Summing up the room, the hotel says, ‘This bungalow was Marilyn Monroe’s, and now it’s yours. You can almost picture her padding around in a fluffy robe and slippers. Warmth and femininity abound in this newly-restored bungalow that’s number 1 in so many ways.’ Beverly Hills Hotel/Dorchester Collection So what exactly do you get for a reported $8500 a night? Well, the room is completely Marilyn themed, so all furniture and design is an ode to her, as are the toiletries, which are all Chanel No.5 (the fragrance she used to wear). You’ll also get fresh flowers, a king-size bed for luxury slumber, and a library of Marilyn Monroe films and books, so you’ll never get bored. Beverly Hills Hotel/Dorchester Collection The bathroom is definitely one of the most beautiful areas in the suite, with marble everywhere, a double washbasin and a walk-in shower. Beverly Hills Hotel/Dorchester Collection The bungalow is also in a prime position, being ‘surrounded by 12 acres of lush gardens and exotic flowers.’ If this doesn’t quite take your fancy, you could always opt for bungalow number 3, which was the home away from home for American businessman and billionaire Howard Hughes. The suite is described as having ‘stormy bold colours, dark stone and rich exotic woods’. Either way, you’ll probably want to get saving.
