Getty Images Not only can she knock up a killer formula that’s natural looking and comfortable to wear, the world-renowned make-up artist has plenty of beauty hacks and tricks up her sleeve, such as top tips for application and how to find the perfect product for you. For instance, Bobbi recently shared her trick for finding the right shade of concealer or foundation. We’ve all done the thing where you dab a tester product on the back of your hand to see if it matches your skin tone, but nine times out of ten you get home, apply it to your face and realise it’s not quite right. Speaking to Refinery29, Bobbi Brown revealed where we should actually be testing our products: your forehead. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jones Road Beauty (@jonesroadbeauty) It makes perfect sense – it’s the part of your face that catches the sun the most, so matching your foundation here ensures you’re much less likely to end up with a shade that washes you out, but instead gives tired or dull skin the little lift it needs. ‘There’s only one way,’ Bobbi said on testing shades on your forehead. ‘If you don’t see it there, it’s the right colour. Who cares what colour your hand is? It’s your face!’ Getty Images She also had a great trick about dry lips that we’d never have thought of: ‘If my lips are dry, I put eye cream on my lips. Lip balm is more of a protectant and eye cream will absorb better.’ Who’d have thought?
