However, we can’t imagine many people who wouldn’t be thrilled to win a gorgeous, historic property – and now a new competition is giving you the opportunity to do just that. The owners of Dancers Hill house, a stunning Georgian grade II listed manor located just 14 miles from Central London, are offering the public the chance to win their £5.25 million home. The lucky victor will become the proud owners of the six-bedroom property, which boasts its own gym, cinema and even a wine room, all set in four acres of impeccably manicured grounds. ‘Dancers Hill House has been a wonderful family home,’ Melanie Walsh, who has lived in the property for the last 27 years, tells YOU.co.uk. ‘We have had family gatherings and parties – one of our three sons even had his wedding here. Now they all have families of their own.’ ‘”One must always know when to move on”, my late mother would say,’ Melanie adds. ‘She was right – with our sons gone, just the two of us in this grand house was ridiculous.’ But facing a difficult post-Brexit property market and stamp duty issues, the family decided to oft opted for a more creative solution than simply putting Dancers Hill House on the market. So, for the price of £12.50 (plus a £1 booking fee), you can buy a ticket to enter the competition and put yourself in the running to win the property. There’s no mortgage, no stamp duty to worry about, and even if you win and somehow don’t fancy yourself as the new lady of the manor, you even have the right to even sell it on. All you have to do to enter is answer the question: ‘Who was the reigning Monarch on Christmas Day, the year Dancers Hill House was built?’ correctly. The competition will close on 16th December 2018 (or earlier should all of the tickets be sold). Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to put our names into this truly incredible hat… For more information and to enter, visit windancershillhouse.com RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR Everything we know about The Crown season 5 Aldi s exercise equipment is on sale with up to 50% off The best Halloween events for 2022 across the UK DON' T MISS Fiona Bruce Sometimes I struggle not to cry November 14, 2021 17 beautiful 2021 diaries to help you to look forward to December 4, 2020 Why women leave men for women What’ s fuelling the rise of April 28, 2019 Hollywood veteran Laura Linney on plastic surgery friendship and her stellar July 3, 2017 You can shop the khaki jumpsuit from Holly Willoughby’ s new M& S July 17, 2019 The secrets and lies behind this happy family photo April 11, 2021 It’ s cocktail hour Olly Smith’ s cocktail recipes and Eleanor Maidment s canapé November 14, 2021 BBC One has revealed its Christmas TV schedule and there’ s lots December 2, 2020 YOU Beauty Box August Reviews August 1, 2017 Rome has been named the cheapest major city to visit in August 7, 2019 Popular CategoriesFood2704Life2496Fashion2240Beauty1738Celebrity1261Interiors684 Sign up for YOUMail Thanks for subscribing Please check your email to confirm (If you don't see the email, check the spam box) Fashion Beauty Celebrity Life Food Privacy & Cookies T&C Copyright 2022 - YOU Magazine.
