Gemma Day Gemma Day I bought these wings as a present for myself when I got divorced. They’re from a company called Rockett St George. I love them – they’re a real statement piece. I’ve taken so many selfies with them behind me. They make me feel I can fly! Gemma Day Brian the Bear was given to me by my father Brian. My mum made his suit from old curtains. He’s also wearing a cardigan that my Auntie Gladys knitted for me when I was a baby and my Blue Peter badge, too. If there was a fire, he would be the first thing I saved. Gemma Day I drink my morning coffee from this mug every day. It was a gift from my stepdaughter Claudia [22, one of ex-husband Grant Bovey’s three daughters]. Grant and I have remained friends for the girls’ sake. I’m not their mother, but we are unusually close. Gemma Day My mum Jean was given this little monkey in 1933 when she was three years old – then she gave him to me at that age, too. He’s just known as Monkey. I’m so lucky that I’ve still got my mum, and it’s so nice to have something that belonged to her. Gemma Day I watched The Wizard of Oz over and over as a child. I bought these shoes – which are based on Dorothy’s – at the FAO Schwarz toy store in New York. Home is so important to me and I love the idea that she could click her heels and go back to Kansas. Gemma Day I won this award for Best Dressed Woman on Television in 1995. I was a disaster before I arrived at GMTV. They brought a stylist in and from then on I took an interest in clothes. Now I believe in power dressing to improve one’s performance. Gemma Day Every household should have a globe – they give you a sense of perspective. And that, I think, is the key to everything. I used to travel a lot when I presented Wish You Were Here…?, Blue Peter and GMTV. Gemma Day I was given this ornament in 1994 when I hosted National Lottery Live. It was mad – everyone thought they could win and everyone was talking about it! Just look at the good it has done – raising the money used to train our amazing Olympic athletes.
