For cat owners, however, this is typically a much harder task. Argos Anyone who has a feline friend at home will know just how much they love to fiddle with (and essentially ruin) the bottom of the Christmas tree. You’ll also know how frustrating it feels to come home after a long day’s work to find your beloved festive tree decorations – which you spent hours perfecting, may we add – splattered across the floor because your cat couldn’t fight the tempting of playing with your lights and baubles. Well now there’s a solution for your problem – half Christmas trees. Argos Argos Home 6ft Half Parasol Christmas Tree, £45, Argos Back in 2018, Argos first released ‘half Christmas trees’ designed to be out of reach for naughty pets and crawling babies, and it was the Christmas miracle all cat owners need. And luckily, it is back again this year. The six foot tree only features voluminous green pine needles on the top half, while the bottom is just a decorative pole. Retailing at £45, the catalogue giant’s tree allows you to ‘keep your perfectly placed baubles, bows and bells out of reach of curious, crawling kids or your cats’ playful paws with this 6ft parasol tree’. 6ft Green Half Christmas Tree, £20, George at Asda If that’s a little out of your price range, Asda has also created its own version of the tree too but for half the price. Just like the Argos one, the George Home Half Christmas Tree is six foot tall and stripped of it’s branches on the bottom half. However, it is only priced at £20 per tree and is currently available to order online. ‘An elegant and practical addition to the home, this 6ft half Christmas tree from George Home starts half way up so it’s out of reach from cats and little ones,’ the brand says. ‘Designed with 296 branches so you can dress it with plenty of baubles, it also leaves a generous amount of space for Santa to bump up the present pile too.’ Genius, right?
