YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food Costa’ s Christmas menu includes pigs in blankets mac and cheese and an After Eight muffin By You Magazine - October 14, 2020 In the face of one of the least predictable Christmases we’ve experienced in recent history, one thing we can can look forward to with some certainty is the arrival of some delicious festive foods. From M&S and Waitrose to Tesco and Morrisons, the supermarkets are already unveiling their line-ups to whet our appetites in advance – and now coffee shop chain Costa has shared details of its Christmas menu for 2020 too. Costa Of course, the core of Costa is its coffee offering, so this year sees the return of the annual Christmas cups, with five limited-edition designs to collect (all of which are fully recyclable). But it’s the edible options we’re here to discuss, and there’s plenty of new ones to sample. If you’re in the market for a sweet treat, make a beeline for the muffin section, where you’ll find a new After Eight muffin alongside last year’s roaring success, the Terry’s chocolate orange muffin. Costa And if you already know and love Costa’s Lotus Biscoff muffin, there’s another reason to rejoice, as they’re introducing a new Lotus Biscoff ‘cheezecake’ for Christmas too – it’s also completely vegan, meaning more of us than ever can enjoy a slice. Costa In fact, vegan diners are spoilt for choice in stores this time around – there’s a Vegan Father Christmas Gingerbread, gluten-free Vegan Christmas Fruit Cake, and a Vegan Mince Tart all up for grabs this winter. On the savoury side of things, there’s the Vegan Turkee, Cranberry and Stuffing Bloomer toastie, to ensure that the coveted Christmas sandwich experience is open to everyone. Costa Speaking of toasties, lunch doesn’t come much more luxurious than Costa’s new Lobster Toastie, made using responsibly sourced lobster, a rich béchamel sauce and a selection of delicious cheeses, all enclosed in a parsley crumb topped seeded malted bloomer bread. This novel creation joins a British Pork & Bramley Apple Sausage roll, British Turkey & The Trimmings Toastie, a Brie, Maple Bacon & Cranberry Stonebaked Panini and our personal favourite, a pigs in blankets mac and cheese. Costa If you’re not quite full up yet, self-confessed chocoholics won’t want to miss the Crispy Chocolate Star or Rich Chocolate & Hazelnut Shimmer Cake, two decadent delights that will satisfy even the strongest of sugar cravings – and they look rather beautiful too. Costa ‘Christmas has always been such a magical time of year at Costa Coffee and we know that this year in particular, our customers are looking to us to make the festive period that extra bit more special,’ Cathy Port, Head of Food at Costa Coffee, says of the tasty launches. ‘We’re incredibly proud to launch our 2020 limited edition Christmas food menu, which we believe is our best yet! It features so many iconic products, which we know our customers have raved about, but also brings in some phenomenal new innovations and partnerships to excite and delight returning and new customers.’ Costa In fact, no matter what you’re hungry for this Christmas, Costa’s Christmas menu can deliver. It’ll be available in stores nationwide from Tuesday 3rd November 2020 – to take a look at the full selection (including the super-cute Jammin’ in the Chimney Cake above) in more detail, head to costa.co.uk.
