While the word itself may conjure images of plant pots and tiles, the orangey-brown hue is set to be the fashion-forward colour for the rest of 2018. Arket Pinterest have revealed that saves for the shade have gone up a staggering 95 per cent over the past six months, and fashion app LIKEtoKNOW.it has noticed a surge in influencers wearing the colour too. Although it might seem brighter and bolder than your usual go-to, terracotta clothing actually works surprisingly well as a neutral, looking just as good paired with clean white or rich navy as it does with lighter pastels. You can also style it tonally, sitting it next to a burnt orange or a pinkier print. Mango Not only this, but terracotta is the perfect transitional pick – invest now and it’ll carry you through the rest of the warmer months (it looks gorgeous with a tan) and make your autumn even chicer (think leather and chunky knits galore).
