YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food Frankencolin the Caterpillar is here to make your Halloween even spookier By You Magazine - October 8, 2020 Colin the Caterpillar is a national icon regardless of the time of year, but recently he’s been receiving seasonal makeovers to help us mark occasions from Easter to Christmas – and now for 2020 there’s a new Halloween Colin the Caterpillar coming to M&S stores. Meet Frankencolin, the spooky season cousin of the original chocolate cake we all know and love, who will arrive on the shelves from 14 October. Although there have been Halloween editions of Colin the past, this year’s Mary Shelley-inspired look might just be the most frightfully delightful yet. M&S Frankencolin the Caterpillar, £10, and Mini Mini Frankencolins, £2.25 for 5, M&S ‘Colin’s gone creepy! No celebration would be complete without Colin the Caterpillar, and this year you can invite Frankencolin along,’ M&S says. ‘Choose our full-size version, a chocolate sponge roll smothered in chocolate and decorated with nuts and bolts, or Mini Frankencolins, with tasty (and super scary) chocolate faces. Last year Colin made the headlines with his spooky makeover – this year our brand-new Frankencolin is SURE to become everyone’s Halloween fave!’ M&S Frankencolin is just one of the many tasty components of M&S’s Halloween range this year – look out for treats (no tricks) including Yummy Mummy Yumnuts, Toffee Apple Bangers, Eerie Eyeball Margarita Pizza, and even a vegan Pettrifying Popping Candy Brain (trust us, it’s tastier than it sounds). And of course, when Halloween falls, Christmas is never far behind it – if you’ve not already spotted him, there’s a festive Colin the Caterpillar that’s also set to be the star of the show at your parties this winter, complete with a stylist Santa hat and decorative baubles and presents to ensure even more chocolatey goodness in each bite. M&S Both Colin the Caterpillar cakes are priced at £10 and designed to serve 10 people, making them a mere £1 per serving – well worth it for a slice of joy in the face of the turbulent year that has been 2020, in our books.
