YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Beauty There are now Beauty Bank donation bins in over 100 Superdrug stores across the UK By You Magazine - October 8, 2020 As of today, over 100 Superdrug stores across the UK feature Beauty Bank bins, making it easier than ever to donate extra or unwanted beauty and toiletry items to those in need. Getty Images The charity Beauty Banks was co-founded by Sali Hughes and Jo Jones in 2018 in a bid to help tackle hygiene poverty, the belief being that ‘being clean is a human right, not a luxury’. Using their connections in the beauty industry, they collect donations of unopened, unused beauty and toiletry products and distribute them to charities and food banks around the country who, in turn, get them into the hands of the people who desperately need them. And now, after two years of partnership, Superdrug has expanded the Beauty Banks donation network by introducing donation points into more than 100 of their stores nationwide. Ace news. Beauty Banks Bins are in 100 Superdrug stores, as of today. This includes every major city in the U.K. Drop in unused toiletries and we will distribute them to charities in your community helping people who live in poverty. pic.twitter.com/OGgVNalcGF - Sali Hughes (@salihughes) October 8, 2020 Due to the pandemic, the number of people using food banks is at an all-time high, and charities like Beauty Banks have seen a huge surge in requests for donations. So there is no better time for Superdrug Beauty Banks donation points to arrive in all the major cities and towns across the UK, making it easier than ever to donate unwanted personal care and hygiene products. These can include (but are not limited to) shampoo, conditioner, soaps, razors, deodorant and menstrual products. Visit the Beauty Banks website for a full list of items they can and can’t accept. https://www.instagram.com/p/CGDUDSZH3o7/ Beauty Banks Co-Founder Sali Hughes, said: ‘Superdrug is a pillar of the high street and a beauty destination so to have Beauty Banks donation bins in so many stores across the UK means we’re providing an easy and accessible way for people to donate. Superdrug have been the most incredible partner to Beauty Banks for over two years, we work really closely together to ensure we’re always pushing forwards and working together to unlock new ways to support those people in local communities.’ Beauty Banks Co-Founder Jo Jones, agreed: ‘This expansion of Beauty Spots across the UK is like a dream come true for us. We remain a small charity who grow only in terms of the number of people we support. This is why our partnership with Superdrug means so much to us, they enable us to reach more people across the UK, to enable communities to support those in their community who need a hand-up and to demonstrate the very essence of Beauty Banks – People Power.’ RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR You could get paid to test Liberty’ s Beauty Advent Calendar People are obsessed with this Revlon hair drying tool A new drop of Boots Star Gifts has landed for Christmas 2022 Popular in Beauty People are seriously impressed with Primark’ s £8 skinny curling tongs December 16, 2019 Boots is giving away free lipsticks to celebrate the launch of January 23, 2020 This long-lasting eyebrow product is getting rave reviews and is just June 21, 2021 These Liz Earle gift sets are on sale just in time March 5, 2020 WIN A Kiehl’ s skincare heroes bundle worth £104 July 24, 2020 Cult skincare brand Sunday Riley is branching out into hair products April 24, 2020 Superdrug is holding a huge BOGOF sale on all cosmetics for May 28, 2020 Your salon could charge you extra for overgrown roots and bad June 25, 2020 Facial steamers Why searches for this beauty gadget were up 400 July 10, 2020 Lush subscription boxes have arrived and they contain exclusive new products August 3, 2020 Popular CategoriesFood2704Life2496Fashion2240Beauty1738Celebrity1261Interiors684 Sign up for YOUMail Thanks for subscribing Please check your email to confirm (If you don't see the email, check the spam box) Fashion Beauty Celebrity Life Food Privacy & Cookies T&C Copyright 2022 - YOU Magazine.
