YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Life Foodie floats The pool inflatables good enough to eat By You Magazine - July 6, 2018 Image: Argos From unicorns to pink flamingos, giant flip-flops to miniature yachts – the humble pool float has had something of a makeover this summer. Kitschy, quirky and colourful, ever since the novelty inflatable has swept across Instagram – and taken over every pool and lido – a bog standard lilo just doesn’t cut it anymore. Like picking the perfect bikini, choosing your OTT pool float is an essential part of your summer ensemble. And frankly the sillier the better, although some shapes are better than others when it comes to supporting your body: we’re not sure how comfortable lazing on an inflatable pretzel is going to be. Animal inflatables have proved particularly popular (take your pick from lovely lobsters, cool crocodiles, sophisticated swans, or even a peacock!). But the trend we love the most? Fun – and faintly ridiculous – food-inspired ‘designs’. Whether you want to show off your clean eating credentials with a healthy fruit-shaped blow-up, or fancy a bit of six-foot junk food to bob about on, we’ve scoured the internet to create a menu of foodie floats to you to order from. Best enjoyed with a nice cold tumbler of sangria in hand. 11 Fun Foodie Pool Floats BigMouth Giant Avocado Pool Float, £35, Paperchase Sunny Life Luxe Lie-On Banana, £18.60, The Hut Pink Donut Ring, £12.99, Mountain Warehouse Giant Cherry, £19.99, Float Goat Intex Inflatable Ice Cream, £26, Freemans BigMouth Giant Pineapple, £30, Joy Six-Foot Pizza Slice, £25, Paperchase Surf Rider Ice Lolly, £23, John Lewis Watermelon with handles, £9.99, Argos Floating Pretzel, £11.99, BargainMax Green Gummy Bear Pool Float, £16.99 fun.co.uk Inflatable Safety Lilos, dinghies and inflatables can be dangerous in rivers and the sea.
