YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Beauty Travel beauty products the stars can’ t live without By You Magazine - July 20, 2018 It is possible to step off a flight looking glowing and glossy? If pictures of the rich and famous snapped at the airport are anything to go by, the answer is a resounding ‘yes’ – so what are they doing that we’re not? It’s a truth universally acknowledged that the dry air, intense UV rays and change in pressure on a plane are a recipe for a beauty disaster – and that’s before you even consider the liquid limits that strip you of access to half of your regular routine. This is why when it comes to packing your carry-on, it’s important to choose carefully. Some stars prioritise killing germs – Gwyneth Paltrow, for instance, carries active silver to spray her seat with before take-off. Others have a hero product up their sleeve – like supermodel Jourdan Dunn’s silk pillowcase, and Cate Blanchett’s go-to face mask – to keep them looking fresh. However, whether you’re in the air for a couple of hours or in it for the long-haul, their clever tricks mean that you can make it to passport control in style. The serum comes in these little vials with the dropper separately. Once you’re ready to use it, you break the seal and shake it to activate. I make sure to put it on my neck and around my eyes as well.’ Stem Cell Collagen Activator Duo, £149, Sarah Chapman Jordan Dunn Getty Images The product: A silk pillowcase ‘When I’m travelling it’s all about comfort,’ Jordan admitted to Harper’s Bazaar. ‘I’ll travel with a silk pillowcase, cashmere socks, loose sweatpants and a T-shirt.’ Sleeping on silk keeps your hair smooth and minimises the appearance fine lines on your skin – an essential if you’re flying long-haul and know you’ll be snoozing for several hours. Although sometimes I’m so desperate I can’t wait, so I’ll put an eye mask on and the SK-II Facial Treatment Mask,’ Cate explained of her in-flight routine to Allure. ‘Until recently, I was decanting the Facial Treatment Essence into a spray bottle, but now they’ve come out with [the Mid-Day Essence], so I’ll take that on the plane with me.’ SK-II Facial Treatment Mask, £120.20 for 10, Amazon Paris Hilton Getty Images The product: Eye patches ‘When I’m travelling I make spa trips for facials and I always stay hydrated,’ Paris told The Telegraph. ‘The eye patches by Patchology are great for when you travel.
