Vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. Where is home? A French château-style house in Atlanta, Georgia, with six bedrooms, a recording studio and a gym. Career plan B? A teacher of mathematics and music – the subjects are very similar. Who would play you in a movie of your life? Matt Damon, Brad Pitt or Mark Wahlberg. Biggest bugbear? Clothes that are inside out when I’m folding the laundry. As a child you wanted to be… A professional basketball player. Earliest memory? Coming home after two months in hospital at the age of five to see a brand-new bicycle in front of the house. I’d had a serious heart infection and wasn’t expected to live – I’m a walking miracle! Secret to a happy relationship? Communication, trust and keeping the passion alive. Your best quality? I love to do things for people rather than have them do things for me. And your worst? I overthink decisions when I should really trust my heart. Most romantic thing you’ve ever done? I bought my wife Leighanne a silver BMW Z8 sports car one Christmas and tied it up with a big red bow in the driveway of our house. Last meal on earth? My wife’s amazing meatloaf with mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts. Dream dinner-party guests? Jesus Christ, Elvis Presley, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and my family. Advice to teenage self? Keep your eyes and ears open as there are so many people who want to take advantage of you. Cat or dog? We have two white maltese dogs, Willie and Ellie-Sue. What do you see when you look in the mirror? A collage of my experiences in life. On a day off we’d find you… Playing golf and enjoying a beer with the guys. Starstruck moment? Being introduced to Tiger Woods in Florida 21 years ago and meeting Elton John for the first time. Big break? Getting a gold disc in Germany in 1995 for our first single ‘We’ve Got It Goin’ On’, which was when everything started to fall into place. Career highlight? Playing my home city of Lexington, Kentucky, on our Into the Millennium tour in 1999 is a great memory. The accompanying album, Millennium, went on to sell close to 45 million copies. Favourite tipple? I’d have to choose between a glass of champagne, a tequila or Belvedere vodka. Hangover cure? Ibuprofen and sleep. Top of your bucket list? To win a Grammy with the Backstreet Boys. One thing that would make your life better? Not stressing. Philosophy? Treat others as you would be treated. Biggest lesson you have learnt about money? It doesn’t buy happiness. Where would you time–travel to? My 50th birthday in seven years’ time to see where we’re at. First record you bought? ‘Mr Telephone Man’ by New Edition. Most extravagant purchase? A white Maserati GranTurismo Sport. Best present you ever received? A Honda all-terrain vehicle that my wife bought me when we got married. Celebrity crush? Growing up it was always Sandra Bullock. Happiness is… Sitting at the beach with my family, my toes in the sand, watching the sun go down.
