YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Fashion Meghan has caused a major spike in searches for this jewellery trend By You Magazine - July 18, 2019 Meghan Markle recently made a surprise appearance at her close friend Serena Williams’ Wimbledon tennis match, and it was her cute necklace emblazoned with the letter ‘A’ (for baby Archie) that really made a statement. The necklace consisted of a delicate ‘A’ pendant with a short chain, and was designed by Australian jewellery brand Verse Fine Jewellery. Unsurprisingly, brand founder Emma Swann has revealed that Verse experienced an ‘avalanche’ in orders following Markle’s appearance at Wimbledon, with her website crashing twice. And now, Google Trends has reported a whopping 50 percent increase in searches for the cute jewellery trend. Getty ‘I’ve had an avalanche of orders since this went online, with people wanting initials for various reasons, many with hearts, for their children or partners – and some christenings, which is lovely,’ Swann explained to FEMAIL. ‘Meghan is modern, fashionable and always on-trend, and personalised jewellery is the biggest trend right now,’ she continued. The designer also explained that she never spoke directly to her, instead liaising with her ‘people’ to fulfil the order. Markle presumably knew about the designer after she apparently gave the duchess a personalised ‘H’ and ‘M’ version of her necklace at the Invictus Games on the Gold Coast, during the couple’s royal Australasian tour. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bzp1xVcA29-/ The Duchess of Sussex’s chosen design was part of Verse Jewellery’s ‘Love Letters’ collection, and a charm from the line costs $590 AUD.
