Which is why we imagine news of the arrival of BOSH! vegan cakes – delicious ready-made bakes you can buy boxed in store – will be very well received. Getty Images The new range is the brainchild of Henry Firth and Ian Theasby, also known as the BOSH! boys; vegan social media sensations with hundreds of thousands of loyal fans who love their inventive recipes for everything from veggie chilli to banana bread. However, for those times when you haven’t got time to whip up a treat from scratch, the duo have decided to make life that little bit easier by bringing prepared vegan cakes to the shelves of your local supermarket, so you can add them to your trolley on your weekly shop. There are four delicious options to choose to keep your sweet tooth satisfied, all of which are registered by The Vegan Society. First up is the dark and super rich ultimate chocolate cake, a dense, fudgy sponge topped with a generous layer of chocolate icing. BOSH! Ultimate Chocolate Cake, £3.50, Tesco For those who prefer their cake with a little more zing, there’s also the fresher, fluffier luscious lemon cake, injected with a lemon syrup, flooded with lemon favoured icing and sprinkled with candied lemon peel. Luscious Lemon Cake, £3.50, Tesco These cakes, priced at just £3.50, make the perfect share-size buy for smaller gatherings, but if you’re feeding a vegan crowd, you can also look to the soon-to-be-launched Happy Birthday Cakes, which are available in either chocolate or vanilla and retail for a (still rather reasonable) £8.
