But if you’re struggling to figure out quite what to wear on 25th December this year in light of this shift, Boden has come up with a Christmas Day outfit that’s a perfect happy medium of comfy, yet still utterly chic: meet the green velvet lounge suit of dreams. The eye-catching two-piece suit first popped up on the Boden Instagram account back in November, where it was shown to be a versatile investment that can be mixed and matched with other elements of your wardrobe, as well as worn as a statement outfit in its own right. Seeing as it’s so soft and cosy it’s basically a super-glam pair of Christmas pyjamas, you won’t want to take it off even when the celebrations are over – and believe it or not, we haven’t even got to the best bit yet, because it’s also on sale. The blazer is down to £102 from its original RRP of £170, while the trousers are now £72 instead of £120.
