YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Life Driving Force series two is here to encourage more women into sport By You Magazine - January 18, 2022 Inspiring and encouraging more women into sport is hugely important and, as the adage goes, if you can’t see it, you can’t be it. That’s why ITV’s show Driving Force, which is about to launch its second series, is truly exciting TV, and it’s presented by a lady whose done a huge amount to promote the role of women in sport: Judy Murray. ITV Pictures Driving Force is an inspiring show that explores the making of legendary female athletes, all of whom have been pioneers in their respective sporting disciplines. More than this, they have enforced much-needed change, and inspired the current and future generations of talent to step out of the shadows and shine brightly in the global sporting arena. In conversation with Judy Murray, the sportswomen – including athlete Denise Lewis, boxer Katie Taylor and jockey Hayley Turner – will share stories of their personal and professional lives. They also open up about the sacrifices they made along the way to achieve success in their sports. ITV Pictures Along the way Judy uncovers both the negative and the positive sides of female sport and investigates topics such as physical training extremes, discrimination in its many forms and how mental health issues impact sportswomen. She also meets many driving forces behind the athletes: coaches, family members, friends and teachers who assisted, empowered and at times kept our heroines mentally and physically together under extreme pressure. To mark the launch of the show, Driving Force took over Piccadilly Circus with famous names and faces up in lights. The Piccadilly Lights domination will featured clips of world-beating women in sport including athletes Denise Lewis, Hayley Turner and Maggie Alphonsi, who attended the event. That’s when you know you’ve made it. When your face is shown on the biggest TV screen in London! Thank you Piccadilly Circus!? The advert was promoting the @ITV series Driving Force.
