John Lewis The biggest own label launch of the past year, John Lewis and Waitrose The Levantine Table range is inspired by the diverse and vibrant culture of the Levant, the region of the Middle East that stretches along the sunny shores of the eastern Mediterranean focussing on the cuisines of Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Turkey and Cyprus. The Levantine Table range consists of 120 food and drink products that will arrive in Waitrose stores and on waitrose.com from 12 April. Including classics such as falafel, olives, houmous, kebabs and savoury pastries, The Levantine Table range includes sharing dishes that can be scaled up and down for smaller or larger gatherings as part of a mezze feast. John Lewis There are also modern twists on familiar favourites, including a Shakshuka Egg – a vegetarian take on a Scotch egg with spiced tomato and pepper, bulgur and a poached egg in the middle – and Turkish Delight Ice Cream. Delish! Developed in partnership with John Lewis, you will also be able to shop 30 expertly curated pieces of complimentary tableware. Including sharing platters, bowls, dip dishes, trays and table linens in vibrant colours and ceramic patterns inspired by the Levant region’s iconic tiles. With lockdown restrictions easing and allowing us to meet with up to 6 people outdoors, the sharing element and relaxed eating style of the range make it perfect for picnics and outdoor get-togethers. John Lewis Waitrose Executive Chef, Martyn Lee says, ‘Many customers will be familiar with Middle Eastern foods and know how vibrant, colourful and packed full of flavour they are. We have created this range to celebrate the distinctive flavours of the specific regions of the Levant. We have worked closely with authoritative voices who have an intimate knowledge of the food and culture of the Levant region.
