YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food M& S has launched a biscake and it s all we want with our afternoon cup of tea By You Magazine - February 18, 2021 It’s that time of day again. It’s after lunch but still a couple of hours before you clock off from work. It’s time to head on over to the kettle and make that 3pm cup of tea, finally. But here comes the ancient dilemma that has plagued humanity through the ages – do you have a biscuit or a slice of cake with your cuppa? Well, stress no more, because the product development miracle-workers at Marks & Spencer have yet again answered our snack-related prayers. New to the M&S shelves the ‘biscake’ – a bakery hybrid featuring a crunchy biscuit base and a fluffy, light, delicious cupcake top, here to transform your teatime. The revolutionary biscake is just one of many recent food innovations from the brand: Marmite hot cross buns, a Percy Pig bouquet, and who could forget the Valentine’s Day lovenut? View this post on Instagram A post shared by M&S (@marksandspencer) The biscake is available in three tasty flavours and are all £2.50 for a pack of two: Lemon meringue-a-tang biscake: A crunchy biscuit base with zesty lemon sponge, lemon curd and lemon buttercream. Hand finished with a meringue. M&S Choc Chip off the old block biscake: A deliciously crumbly chocolate chip cookie base meets rich chocolate sponge, topped with chocolate buttercream and our very own treat bag Milk Chocolate Cookie Dough Bites. Cherry cake-well biscake: The classic Bakewell Tart reimagined in Biscake form – a crunchy biscuit base with almond sponge, raspberry jam and buttercream. Hand finished with a glace cherry. M&S Natalie Tate, M&S Product Developer for cakes said: ‘It’s the age-old question. Cake or biccy with your cup of tea? This new and exclusive fusion to M&S, the Biscake, takes the stress out of having to decide as you can now enjoy both together. ‘The three delicious flavours are the ultimate treat – with the perfect balance of crumbly biscuit base and fluffy, sweet cupcake top. I absolutely love the Choc Chip off the Old Block which is topped with our very own delicious treat bag Milk Chocolate Cookie Dough Bites.’ We’ll take a pack of each, thanks M&S!
