YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food The prettiest way to drink gin in a tin this summer is here By You Magazine - April 27, 2018 Gin lovers, rejoice. Gordons has announced their summery pink gin will be hitting supermarket shelves in – wait for it – portable can form! That’s right, our summer picnics are about to get a whole lot better thanks to the premium pink distilled gin and tonics. The pre-mixed tipples (yes, they’ve got added tonic – double win) are made up of raspberries, redcurrant and a hint of juniper mixed with Schweppes Tonic. They’re now available in four major UK supermarkets including Tesco, Asda, Co-op and Morrisons for just £1.80 per can. Naturally, people are going mad for them and we don’t blame them. What’s not to love about pink gin in a tin? It’s delicious, affordable and perfectly convenient for a warm summer’s day – and that’s before you mention the exceptionally lovely packaging. Although it’s ready-to-drink already, the contents of the cans can also be made into a snazzy cocktail when poured into a wine glass and mixed with chopped fresh berries. You know, if you’re feeling fancy. Pink gin is currently the trendiest way to indulge in a classic gin and tonic cocktail, with several brands launching the pretty coloured alcoholic beverage in the last couple of years. Just last week, British brand Pinkster Gin, launched a box of raspberry-infused pink gin containing the equivalent of four large bottles. According to Pinkster, the box is designed to serve 100 drinks (hence its hefty price tag of £135). Similarity, alcohol enthusiasts were set into a frenzy earlier this month when Tesco announced that they would be stocking Tequila Rose strawberry liqueur for just £12. The drink, which contains 15% alcoholic volume, is described as ‘strawberry cream with an exotic tequila thrill’ and can be mixed in a cocktail or milkshake, indulged in on the rocks like you would a glass of Irish cream, or taken as a tasty shot if you’re feeling wild. Looks like 2018 really is the year of pink drinks… and we’re here for it.
