However, the recent Annual Sunscreen Guide from American magazine Consumer Reports has concluded that La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF 50 Comfort Cream is the sun cream to use this season, by awarding it an 100% perfect score for the fourth year running. Getty Images La Roche-Posay’s fragrance free offering, which sells for £16.50, is suitable for skin that is ‘prone to sensitivity, sun-intolerance or prickly-heat. It sinks into skin quickly and provides UVA, UVB and Infrared protection that is also water resistant. According to the Daily Mail Australia, it’s thought that the secret to the product’s success may lie in the inclusion of avobenzone, a chemical which has been found to be more successful at blocking damaging rays than mineral sunscreens containing zinc oxide. La Roche Posay Reviewers who are already fans of the product praise its simple packaging and effective formula, with one writing: ‘I usually hate applying sunscreen, and it’s always a chore. I’m currently on holiday and the this suncream has been excellent!
