The beloved Instagram-born brand has launched an extensive list of products since its UK inception a couple of years ago, from a brand new brow product to work alongside its iconic ‘Boy Brow’ to a whole new sister brand, Glossier Play. And now the brand has decided to extend its bestselling lip gloss line to include two new shades, including a bold red colour and a holographic hue. Glossier One of Glossier’s most well-known makeup products is its Lip Gloss in Clear. The no-frills formula was designed specifically in order to be stick-free and smooth in texture, and to deliver a super hi-shine finish. ‘Universally flattering, it delivers dimension and fullness, leaving lips moisturized and instantly shinier in one comfortable swipe. Essentially, it’s Glossier in a tube,’ the brand says. So it comes as no surprise that Glossier has now added two more shades to their small but perfectly formed makeup collection, one in a bold yet sheer red hue, and the other in a light-catching holographic effect. Glossier While we can’t wait to get our hands on the new anti-gloss lip gloss shades, it seems one famous face has already put her stamp of approval firmly on the new product. Michelle Obama sported the new red hue during her appearance at Essence festival, having had her makeup done by long-time MUA Carl Ray. ‘I wanted Michelle Obama to look fresh, polished and glowing,’ explained Ray. ‘Given Essence Fest is in New Orleans in July, I wanted to keep in mind the summer heat and humidity, so I made sure to keep her makeup sheer and radiant.’ Getty Speaking to Glossier’s editorial counterpart Into The Gloss, Ray continued: ‘For her lips, I applied Make Up For Ever’s Artist Nude Creme Liquid Lipstick under Glossier’s new Lip Gloss in Red. I like to apply cream liquid lipstick for longevity, and then add gloss on top for that shine and moisture.’ The two new additions will both be priced at £11, like their original counterpart.
