Need a top up of your favourite beauty product? Head on over. Want to get your hands on the next hottest read of the summer the day it comes out? You’ll find it there. Fancy some new furniture? Amazon. And while the shopping options are limitless on the site, that’s not even the best part about it; Amazon Prime allows members to esteemed perks such as free next day delivery, special deals, and access to all of the Prime TV and film content. Getty What’s more, each year, Amazon offers its Prime members access to one of the biggest discount days of the year (outside of Black Friday, of course) in the form of Amazon Prime Day. The day sees thousands of deals go live for 24 hours +, with special discounts and money off for Prime members only. This year, Amazon Prime Day 2019 will begin on 15 July at 8am GMT, and will run a whole 48 hours; an increase on last year’s 36 hour sale, and previous years’ 24 hour runs. The sale span across categories, from money off Amazon’s own Alexa and Kindle devices, to limited edition lightening deals on some of the biggest brands online, which once timed out, will be gone forever. Also included in the sale this year will be Amazon Music, Prime Video and Twitch Prime, as well as exclusive and new content added for Prime only members. Getty “Get ready, as we pull back the curtain to reveal exclusive products, special performances and two full days of phenomenal deals this Prime Day,” commented Jeff Wilke, Amazon CEO Worldwide Consumer. “Our vision is that Prime Day should be the absolute best time to be a member – when you can enjoy shopping, savings, entertainment and some of the best deals Prime members have ever seen.” Amazon fans can sign up to Prime from £7.99 a month, and can experience a 30-day free trial before paying the first monthly instalment. Happy shopping!
