YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Travel This is the best value beach in the UK for a summer staycation By You Magazine - April 7, 2021 With international travel this summer looking more and more unlikely, many of us are planning a UK-based staycation for the second summer in a row. Desperate for some sea and sand but on a budget? You might be interested to hear that this destination has just been named the best value beach in the UK. To narrow it down, netvouchercodes.co.uk analysed the cost of a week away at some of the most popular holiday hotspots around the UK, taking into account the average price for accommodation, meals out and a pint. Rhossili Bay Beach. Getty Images While netvouchercodes.co.uk found that the most cost-effective staycation was a city break with Liverpool, Manchester and Sheffield offering the most bang for your buck, Rhossili Bay in Swansea and Porthminster Beach in Cornwall also came out on top as the best value beach in the UK. While it might not be the Caribbean, the small village of Rhossili Bay in Swansea is a hidden gem that offers three miles of golden sand, beautiful coastal landscapes and is within the UK’s first-ever Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On the other end of the spectrum, if you’re on a strict budget and looking for destinations to avoid, Brighton, Bowness-on-Windermere (Cumbria), Woolacombe Beach (Devon), Fistral Beach (Cornwall) and St. Brelade’s Bay (Jersey) came out as amongst the most expensive in the UK.
