Not only was it crowned the most watched BBC show of 2019 but the cat-and-mouse thriller has earned plenty of awards, from BAFTAs to Golden Globes, thanks to its genius plot and star-studded cast. So after two incredible seasons, it’s no wonder we’re hungry for more. And luckily, that’s exactly what we’re getting. BBC America BBC America has announced when exactly we can expect the highly-anticipated third season of Killing Eve and we’re struggling to contain our excitement – especially as it is landing sooner than we thought. According to the US broadcaster, season three will debut in America on 26 April. Meanwhile British viewers will have to be a little more patient as the new season won’t be coming to our screens before June. Yes we know, it’s a bit of a bummer. But with February already flying by, it’ll be summer before we know it. BBC America The news of the release date was announced with the first teaser clip from the upcoming season and a series of first look images of protagonists Villanelle (played by Jodie Comer) and Eve (played by Sandra Oh) on 14 February as a special Valentine’s Day treat for us all. Fans will remember that the last season of Killing Eve ended with a cliffhanger as assassin Villanelle shot Eve and is under the impression that she’s dead. However, as viewers were then shown, it turned out Eve was still alive and well. In the first look images, we see shots of both parties starting their new separate lives, with Villanelle wondering the streets of Barcelona. She’s also very, very good at making dumplings. And Sandra turns out to be incredibly good at making dumplings — and at butchering, actually.’ Jodie Comer also said of her on-screen persona: ‘A big theme for Villanelle is her trying to gauge some sense of control. She is a very free spirit, and she always seems to be under the thumb of this higher entity, whoever that may be.
