After 18 years of dying her hair every single week to achieve her trademark burgundy red, Sharon has decided to embrace a natural look and go for an easier-to-maintain icy platinum blonde, and the outcome is seriously stunning. The dramatic transformation was created by hairdresser to the stars Jack Martin, who revealed it took eight hours in the chair to get Sharon’s new colour ready to leave the salon. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ｊａｃｋ Ｍａｒｔｉｎ (@jackmartincolorist) ‘Sharon has 100% white hair and she was coloring her hair once a week dark vibrant red for the past 18 years,’ he wrote, alongside a before-and-after snap of Sharon’s new look. ‘She explained to me that she wanted to do this transformation long time ago but every time she attempts it ends up with a disaster. ‘I didn’t promise Sharon anything but I told her I will try my best. It took me a total of 8 hours from start to finish to get her to a platinum blonde so she doesn’t have to be committed to coloring her hair once a week anymore.’ Sharon before her hair transformation. Image: Getty Images Now, not all of us are lucky enough to have access to the talented stylists in the industry, but Jack did also reveal the products he’d used to get the perfect bright, light shade for Sharon. Most of them are offerings that your or your hairdresser will be able to track down – and some you can even get at home. To lighten Sharon’s hair and get the correct tone, Jack used Blondor, a product from Wella’s professional range, and a toner from Pravana‘s collection. However, to condition, he turned to celeb favourite Olaplex, a line which is known for its ability to make even the most worn-out, lacklustre hair appear full and healthy again. Jack selected No2, a salon product, but Olaplex’s No4 shampoo and conditioners are available from beauty retailers across the country, and constantly receive rave reviews for their seriously impressive results – particularly for bleached or damaged hair. What a beautiful transformation!’ So, whether you’re thinking of taking the plunge and joining the white hair club, or already have grey or white hair and want to give it a dose of extra nourishment, Sharon just provided all the inspiration you need.
