The series itself follows the Brannock family as they move into their dream home only to find they’re being watched. It’s based on a true story which you can read all about here, but first up we need to dive straight into the cast because it’s actually wild how many famous icons are in it. Meet the cast in The Watcher on Netflix Naomi Watts as Nora Brannock via Netflix It was Nora’s dream to move into the house and raise her kids close to her own childhood home. However her dream was ruined by The Watcher. Naomi Watts plays Nora, she’s famous for her role in The Impossible. Bobby Cannavale as Dean Brannock via Netflix Dean is Nora’s husband and also the person who gets traumatised the most by The Watcher. Bobby is known for his roles in Will & Grace, Mr Robot and Boardwalk Empire. The 52-year-old American actor started his career back in 1996, and gained early film roles. In 1999 he became well known when he starred as Bobby Caffey for two seasons of Third Watch. Mia Farrow as Pearl Pearl is one of the neighbours in the area and she is played by Mia Farrow, a 77-year-old American actress. The star, who was once married to Frank Sinatra, is known for her roles in Rosemary’s Baby. She was also briefly married to Frank Sinatra for around a year which helped her gain some recognition too – she was 21 at the time and Frank was 50. Noma Dumezweni as Theodora via Netflix Noma is known for her theatre roles mainly. She’s a 53-year-old British actor who played Hermione Granger in the original West End production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in 2015. In 2018 she played Miss Penny in Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns and has been announced in the cast of Disney’s live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid. Her character, Theodora, is hired as a private detective by Dean. Richard Kind as Mitch Mitch is a neighbour to the Brannocks, he lives in the property behind 657 Boulevard with his wife, Mo. Richard Kind is a 65-year-old actor and comedian known for his roles in Mad About You. He’s also a pretty huge voice actor, so if you don’t recognise his name or face then you’ll recognise his voice if you’ve watched A Bug’s Life, Cars and Toy Story 3!! Terry Kinney as Jasper Jasper and Pearl, via Netflix Jasper is another neighbour, he’s also the brother of Pearl. The pair of them sneak into the Brannock’s house and hide in their dumbwaiter – a bit creepy, right? Terry was recently in another Netflix show, Inventing Anna, where he played the role of Barry. Margo Martindale as Mo Mitch and Mo, via Netflix Mo is another neighbour who can be a little problematic and noisy, her husband is Mitch. Margo Martindale is truly iconic, she played Hannah Montana’s grandma in Hannah Montana: The Movie and also voiced herself in BoJack Horseman. She has also been in Orphan, Million Dollar Baby, Uncle Frank, The Americans and Justified. She’s truly a TV legend! Jennifer Coolidge as Karen Calhoun via Netflix The final cast member in The Watcher is Jennifer Coolidge who plays Karen Calhoun. Karen is the realtor who will sell you your dream home, she’s also an old friend of Nora’s. Jennifer Coolidge is famous for playing Stifler’s Mom in American Pie and Paulette Bonafonté Parcelle in Legally Blonde – plus so much more. The Watcher is available on Netflix now.
