One such example is the H&M knitted dress that’s racked up an impressive 80,000 likes on Instagram – and it costs a mere £8. View this post on Instagram A post shared by H&M (@hm) The picture of the dress that caused such a stir on Instagram was first posted by photographer @nikkinetz, which H&M then reposted to their own grid (after seeing how well she rocked it). The cream coloured dress is a simple, boxy silhouette in a ribbed knitted jersey that stops at the mid-calf with slits on each side. A deep V-neck finishes off the detailing, making for a minimalistic number that could be worn on its own or to form the base of a more accessorised outfit. H&M Ribbed dress, £8 (was £19.99), H&M At £19.99, the H&M knitted dress was already a pretty affordable buy, but it’s currently on sale for just £8, which makes snapping it up for summer a no-brainer. It’s also available in beige (also currently on offer at £9), and both can be teamed with matching ribbed jersey trousers for a comfy take on the co-ord look. Knitted vest tops have been very on-trend for 2021, so this dress is the perfect evolution of the trend for summer. And seeing as we’ve struggled to ditch our trusty lockdown loungewear we’ve lived in since March 2020, this stretchy jersey number is the perfect option for getting back into the swing of dressing up again. We’d pair it with chunky black sandals or brogues and layered gold chain jewellery. It would also translate perfectly into autumn with a jacket on top or a crisp white shirt layered underneath. H&M Ribbed dress, £9 (was £19.99), H&M On Instagram, the post quickly attracted comments from keen shoppers: ‘Brb running to HM ASAP’ wrote one. ‘Just wore mine a few days ago and loved it ? so comfy and versatile,’ wrote another. It has been receiving a lot of love in the reviews section of the H&M website too: ‘Love this not too heavy nice and long with the slits can’t wait to wear it over an evening with sandles or trainers,’ wrote one satisfied customer. ‘Very flattering dress. Does not cling and soft knit,’ wrote another.
