They've got an open air jasmine terrace, filled with jasmine flowers that "perfume the breeze". And then there are the cakes. There's vanilla and elderflower eclairs, a pull apart flower cookie and an edible rose, called "Painting The Rose Red", an almond financier cake filled with raspberry jam, covered with pink champagne marshmallow, set on a rose stem and surrounded by layers of white chocolate dipped rose petals. Because apparently Dominique has access to my secret, most desperate patisserie fever dreams. Listen to me. You deserve to sit in a jasmine-perfumed terrace. You deserve an edible rose. There may be those that say £12.50 is too much money for a sugar rose, but to them I say STOP RUINING THIS FOR ME. Price: patisserie starts from £4.50, and a "Painting The Rose Red" is £12.50 When: until 29th May Book here 2 British Artists in the Shirley Sherwood Collection at Kew Gardens Kew Gardens Botanicals are great. They're super pretty to look at, and they go in gin, everyone's favourite tipple. And now there's a huge collection of British botanical illustrations on exhibition at Kew Gardens. There's fritillaries! There's cowslips! There's lapageria! Wordsworth would have a field day. Price: exhibition is included with entry to Kew Gardens, which is £14 When: on until 17th September Book here 3 Cherry blossoms and cocktails at Shochu View this post on Facebook Facebook: video.php If you've the kind of person that likes to drink *dramatically*, I've got the place for you. Shochu has put up a huge, gorgeous, riotously pink cherry blossom installation in their underground bar. There's also a Sakura-season inspired drinks menu with Japanese whisky cocktails. So you can enjoy your hard liquor reclined in the kind of setting the most bougie of Russian tsarinas couldn't sniff at. Price: cocktails are £11.50 each When: until 7th June Book here 4 Floral patisserie at Bluebird Bluebird To this day, Maitre Choux eclairs are the fanciest eclairs I have ever eaten. If you feel the same way, Bluebird's limited edition floral afternoon tea is for you. There's bespoke Maitre Choux eclairs included alongside all manner of other delicious floral-themed treats. Plus the restaurant has been decked out in flowers for full effect. Price: £28.50 When: until 28th May Book here 5 Jo Loves fragrance cocktails at Bluebird View this photo on Instagram Instagram: @petite.blondine If you don't fancy afternoon tea through, there's a new pop up cocktail menu at Bluebird too, with drinks inspired by Jo Loves scents; the fragrance brand from perfume maestro Jo Malone. Drinking them will make you feel like an immaculate uptown lifestyle blogger who lives in an all-white apartment, even though we both know there's Pret soup on your jeans that's been there at least two days (yes I am talking about myself, you caught me, don't look at me with your judgment eyes). Price: cocktails from £14 When: on until end of June Book here 6 A floral tipple at The Chop House View this photo on Instagram Instagram: @danddlondon Chop House has partnered up with Chase Distillery (who make brilliant flavoured gins and vodkas) to create a "Blooming British" cocktail menu. My picks would be either the Columbia Road (pictured), which is made of gin, elderflower liqueur, rose and cucumber, or the Summer Garden, which has pink grapefruit gin, lavender and soda. Price: all cocktails are £9.50 When: until 30th June Book here 7 Spring Blossom Afternoon Tea at Chino Latino View this photo on Instagram Instagram: @petite.blondine Chino Latino is a little off the beaten track, at the Park Plaza hotel near Vauxhall, but is well worth going to. The restaurant itself is, as my mum would say, "very glam", with beautiful views over the Thames and big glass windows. Their new spring blossom-themed afternoon tea is a treat – I took my sister last weekend – and surprisingly affordable. I've shelled out the better part of £50 for afternoon tea (I am what I am) at other hotels, so at £18 this is a snip. Price: £18 for afternoon tea with just tea, £22 for afternoon tea with a cocktail When: until the end of May Book here 8 The Paris In Bloom Terrace at Orrery Thomas Alexander / Via orrery-restaurant.co.uk If you can't get enough flowers in your life, why not try eating them? Consume their flower-y goodness. Let them become one with you. Eat the flower, BE THE FLOWER. Ahem. Orrery is a fine dining French restaurant who have just put a few floral-inspired dishes on the menu, like marinated goat cheese with baby artichokes, beetroot, fennel and orange salad and pavé of salmon with caramelised fennel. FYI, I went to Orrery for a birthday dinner years ago and have been a longtime fan of their food ever since – £30 for three courses and a drink is a STEAL. Price: three courses and a glass of bubbles for £30, floral cocktails are £6 each between 6 and 8pm When: Open from 25th May Book here 9 Belsazar Botanical Garden at Old Bengal Bar oldbengalbar.co.uk Summer is a time of rooftop terraces, drinking and flowers, and this is a perfect amalgamation of all those things. Experience summer nirvana at the new botanical garden at Old Bengal Bar, aka their rooftop terrace that's been newly filled with flowers. They also have a floral cocktail menu, which includes, I kid you not, frosé, aka PINK WINE SLUSHIES. Price: cocktails from £10, but each cocktail will be available for £6.50 Monday to Friday from 5pm to 7pm and Thursday from 5pm to close When: indefinitely Book here 10 Terrace in Bloom at Aster View this photo on Instagram Instagram: @therollinsonlondon Nordic restaurant, Aster similarly has transformed their roof terrace into a beautiful floral dream. As well as floral cocktails, which include drinks made with lingonberry vodka, jasmine tea syrup and rosebud-infused gin (omg), there's also a floral afternoon tea, which may just be one of the cheapest afternoon teas going in London right now. At £15 per person, you'll get tea or coffee and then delicious Nordic treats like white crab with elderflower mayo, lavender and peach roll and orange blossom chocolate tart. Price: afternoon tea £15 per person, cocktails £6.50 each at selected times When: afternoon tea is available until December Book here 11 Do a self guided walk through Chelsea Instagram: @https://www.instagram.com/dukeofyorksquare/?hl=en There are two great self-guided, free walks available online for Chelsea, a historic one and a literary one. Sure, you could walk through Chelsea anytime, but right now it's particularly lovely – tons of the shops, hotels and restaurants are decked out with flowers for the Chelsea in Bloom competition and art show. You can take in some sunshine, some history and vote for your favourite installation here. Price: free When: anytime, but best to do it before the flowers get taken down at the end of this month 12 Cakes at Peggy Porschen View this photo on Instagram Instagram: @peggyporschenofficial This sweet little bakery serves delicious handmade cupcakes and cakes, as well as teas and coffees. They've also just put up the prettiest pink floral decoration over their entrance – if you're heading along anyway to see it as part of a walk around Chelsea, you'd be doing yourself a disservice not to pop in for a cupcake too. Price: cupcakes from £3.95 When: until end of May 13 Drinks under the cherry tree at German Gymnasium @vishalikotecha / German Gymnasium This German-European bar has erected a giant cherry tree smack bang in the middle of the space, and are serving beautiful floral champagne cocktails underneath it. Think rose-infused vodka, rose jam and dry rose buds topped with bubbles and elderflower and peach bellinis. This is the lifestyle I have always wanted to lead. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do when this is over. Price: £6.50 5 to 6pm on Monday and Tuesdays, otherwise £10.50 When: until the end of May Book here 14 A flower arranging workshop at London Flower School londonflowerschool.com The London Flower School is newly opened this year, and headed up by some big names in floristry (yes, I keep abreast of the floristry world), like former McQueens head tutor, Wagner Kreusch. Their short courses are super legit, and you can learn how to put together stunning hand-tied bouquets or bouquets inspired by art. Heads up, they're not cheap at £250 a pop – if you want a budget version, the Flower Appreciation Society's workshops start from £45 and are also very good. Price: £250 per person Dates: various Book here 15 A One Part Plant meal at Coq d Argent View this photo on Instagram instagram.com I like a steak as much as the next person, but I also support the idea of our planet not exploding in a firey ball of death, so I try to compromise by having a vegan or vegetarian meal every so often. Rooftop bar and restaurant, Coq d'Argent is making it easy by adding a new vegan set menu that honestly sounds delicious. And I say this as someone who describes her favourite food as "meat". There's truffled asparagus with pansy flowers, ratatouille risotto and aubergine stew with mustard flowers. All eaten while surrounded by flowers. Price: two courses for £29.50, three courses for £34.50 When: until the 30th of June Book here 16 Sit under the flowers at Angler View this photo on Instagram Instagram: @angler_restaurant Michelin-starred seafood under a canopy of flowers put together by McQueens, florists extraordinaire. Sure, this place ain't cheap but the new Taste of Spring set menu keeps things down a little. It's still pretty expensive at £48 for four courses, but considering that the cheapest tasting menu starts at £60 here, and the cheapest starter on the menu is £16.50, I'd say it's definitely good value. Price: £48 for the Taste of Spring menu, a la carte dishes start from £16.50 When: no end date specified Book here 17 Visit the Chelsea Flower Show View this photo on Instagram Instagram: @london This is the jewel in the crown of London's floral events.
