Getty Images Meghan, who is on a 10-day tour of Africa with husband Prince Harry and their son, has been pictured in both Cape Town and Monwabisi Beach this week without her historic diamond ring which appeared to have been replaced by a thin gold ring with a turquoise stone. But why the swap? According to HELLO!magazine the Duchess is keen to keep it ‘low key’ during her visit as she will be meeting and greeting many people throughout the African tour, a source told the publication. However, she is still sporting her lovely Welsh gold wedding band. Getty Images Meghan’s engagement ring features a cushion-cut centre stone sourced from Botswana – where she and Harry fell in love – and two round-cut diamonds that belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. So you can see why she wants to keep the famous ring safe. The Duchess usually wears both the engagement ring, her wedding band and a special eternity ring she received from her husband earlier this year in honor of their one year wedding anniversary and the birth of their first born, baby Archie. The 38-year-old royal created a fashion moment to remember by stepping out in a trendy denim jacket – an unorthodox option for an official royal engagement, but a stylish breath of fresh air nonetheless. The casual jacket is from cult US brand Madewell. It is believed to be the brand’s Jean Jacket in Pinter Wash, priced at £112.46.
