And while the Duchess of Sussex tends to opt for higher-end labels, she also apparently seems to like a bargain just as much as the rest of us. Markle was spotted (along with half of Hollywood) at friend Misha Nonoo and Mikey Hess’ wedding over the weekend wearing a £5 piece of jewellery that was borrowed from a friend. Alessandro Serrano’/REX/Shutterstock The jewellery in question was a gorgeous pair of gold, vintage earrings that Meghan had reportedly admired and then borrowed from a close friend. The earrings had cost a mere £5 some years earlier, when they were purchased at none other than Portobello Road market. ‘Meghan had always admired these earrings so her friend lent them to her for Misha’s wedding. They were just £5 from the vintage market on Portobello Road,’ a friend told The Daily Mail. Her choice of accessory looked beautiful when paired with her sheer black dress that she chose for the occasion. In true hi-low fashion, the dress was rather more expensive than her bargain earrings; it is worth £9000 and is by high end designer Valentino. Misha worked alongside Meghan for her recent Smart Works collection, which is designed in order to benefit women getting back into the work place. Other notable names who were present at the wedding included James Corden and his wife Julia, Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry, and Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner. While there were plenty of celebrity friends in attendance, Misha chose Meghan as the one to grace the wedding guests with a reading. Meghan read the poem The Vow by Roger McGough.
