YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Beauty BEAUTY BUZZ The new sunset shades By You Magazine - May 20, 2018 Whatever the weather, the end-of-May bank holiday is always when I start to embrace summer – and all the glorious things it brings. Case in point is the seasonal bounty of golden, copper, coral and tan colours that happily flatter all skin tones in one way or another. Vittorio Zunino Celotto/BFC For sultry summery eyes, look to Dior 5 Couleurs Cool Wave eyeshadow palette in Heat Up (£48.50, dior.com), which comes with coral, gold, brown and nude shades that you can wear alone or together. Top the darker shades with the lighter ones to re-create the sultry, smoky eyes from the Julien Macdonald SS18 show. I find that switching traditional black for Dior’s toffee and hazelnut shades softens the look, making it both prettier and more wearable – particularly if you are not used to playing up your eyes. Always highly prized, this year the Chanel Les Beiges collection includes a Healthy Glow Luminous Multi-Colour Powder in Light, Medium and Deep (£42, chanel.com). Its tonal array of sunset shades is warming yet sheer and leaves a subtle sheen. Brush from cheekbone to temple for a sun-soaked flush. Then dot freckles across your nose with Wunder2 Super-Stay Liner in Essential Brown (£13.95, wunder2.co.uk) to create a look that’s believable and won’t budge. To finish, add a swish of the limited-edition coral Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Blooming Lip Balm (£24.50, houseoffraser.co.uk), tie your hair in a headscarf and say: ‘Winter, what winter?’ This week we’ re skin deep If you’re heading to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this week, don’t miss the Skin Deep Garden, a collaboration between Harley Street Skin Care and garden designer Robert Barker. Featuring plants that reflect different skin issues through their form and texture, such as the spotty-leafed Pulmonaria ‘Sissinghurst White’, the garden aims to break the taboos surrounding skin conditions and address the embarrassment many feel as a result of them. Harley Street Skin Care experts will be there to answer your questions on 22 and 24 May, but if you can’t make it to the show, try the Anytime Moisture Surge SPF20 (£30, harleystreetskincare.com) at home to refresh skin.
