From every cuisine under the sun to massages and other beauty treatments, you no longer need to leave your home for most things. So it should come as no real surprise that the UK’s first on demand piercing service has arrived. Yes, that’s right, you can now get pierced in the comfort of your own home. Beautiful mid-range jewellery brand Tada & Toy has teamed up with beauty concierge app Ruuby to launch this new service, which is available now. As well as being perfect for those who’d prefer to get pierced in their own space, this (rather revolutionary) idea is great for parties, birthdays or a girls’ night in. Just picture your old school Avon educational evenings but in a modern, updated form that now involves piercings. The service isn’t exactly cheap, but you’re paying for convenience, hence the additional investment. It starts at £120 for a lobe or cartilage piercing, but you do get a Tada & Toy stud included in the price, and they have some seriously divine styles to choose from (just check out their website to see what we mean). Baby Love Studs, £60, Tada & Toy Heartbeat Loop Studs, £55, Tada & Toy Speaking about the on-demand service, Tada & Toy founders Tansy Aspinall & Victoria van Holthe commented: ‘We are so excited to have collaborated with Ruuby to bring our dream of on-demand ear piercing to life! Now you can build your dream Tada & Toy ear from the comfort of your own home.’ The only bad news is that so far, the service will only be available to London dwellers. However, if it’s a success, hopefully they may roll it out across the UK later on in 2020. Fingers crossed!
