YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Food Aldi just launched two new limited edition gins inspired by the solar eclipse By You Magazine - June 14, 2021 At Aldi, you can stock up your drinks trolley for a fraction of the price and now, the retailer has expanded its gin offering and launched two new limited-edition gins inspired by the solar eclipse as part of its botanical range, called Elements by Haysmith’s. Coinciding with the Summer Solstice, the new tipples are part of the supermarket’s June sprints festival and are available in time for World Gin Day on Saturday 12 June. What better excuse to pour yourself a glass and enjoy a gin-based cocktail under the sunshine? As they’re limited edition, you will need to be quick to snap them up, but they are available in individual bottles or a crate of six or 12, so if you have a party, wedding, or big BBQ planned, they’ll certainly come in handy. However you like to drink gin, whether it’s in a fruity, zesty cocktail or with a simple tonic and a lemon peel, they’re perfect for drinks with friends and family after a tumultuous year. Costing £14.99 each, much cheaper than many alternatives on the market, you can buy them online now or pick one up next time you’re in store. Aldi Haysmith’s Premium Eclipse Gin, £14.99 Aldi Described by the budget supermarket as ‘wonderfully botanical with a punch of spice’, this is your classic juniper gin mixed with Szechuan pepper for an added kick, that’s best served in a tall glass, overflowing with ice and mixed with tonic or lemonade. It’s also the perfect opportunity to finetune your mixology skills for any guests or stock up on some new glassware. Aldi Haysmith’s Premium Solar Gin, £14.99, Aldi If you love a flavoured gin to add a twist to a classic G&T, try the Solar Gin instead. Infused with blackcurrant, juniper, grapefruit peels, rose petals, lavender and rose peel, it packs a punch. Aldi recommends serving it in a tall glass with tonic water and a slice of cucumber.
