YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Fashion Meghan Markle’ s sell-out M& S jumper is back for spring By You Magazine - April 6, 2018 Meghan Markle had her own ‘Kate Middleton engagement dress‘ moment back in January when she was spotted wearing a Marks & Spencer jumper during a royal visit to Brixton, causing a nationwide frenzy among shoppers. Getty Images The bride-to-be wore the £45 Wool Blend Round Neck Bell Sleeve Jumper (her first pick from the UK high street) paired with black flared Burberry trousers, and the Brando coat by Candian brand Smythe as she attended her second official engagement at Reprezent FM, a local radio station in the south London area. Within hours, the knitwear had flown off the shelves at every local high street branch and completely sold out online thanks to what has become known as the ‘Meghan effect’. But just like Kate Hiddleton’s iconic Issa wrap dress, Meghan’s chic jumper has finally been restocked by M&S – with a little spring twist. Instead of the black original, it is now available in Flame; an orange/red hue, meaning we can all get the look while staying on-trend with the season. Hurrah! M&S We’d highly recommend snapping up the jumper on the Marks & Spencer’s website before the ‘Meghan effect’ strikes again, because it seems to happen a lot. Just last month, the former Suits actress wore a two-tone J Crew coat over a white All Saints Ridley jumper during a day trip to Birmingham for International Women’s Day. Both items went out of stock shortly afterwards, teaching us two valuable lessons. Firstly, it’s clear who the nation’s favouirite style icon is, and second, Meghan Markle is the new queen of mixing designer garments with purse-friendly high street finds. Perhaps she’ll surprise us with something similar on her wedding day? There’s still a month long wait until we find out, but rumour has it British fashion house Erdem will be designing Meghan’s gown. The brand, run by the Canadian-born designer Erdem Moralıoğlu, just announced that they are bringing their public relations operations in-house under a new manager – leading to speculation that they could be anticipating a significant amount of coverage in the near future… RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR Rochelle Humes has launched a gorgeous new edit with Next Shop the YOU Magazine Instagram YOU picks the best new-in buys from M& S Popular in Fashion Laura Jackson has teamed up with Next for the chicest knitwear January 22, 2020 Holly Willoughby’ s birthday dress is another Zara bargain February 10, 2020 The Instagram-famous & Other Stories wool blazer is back in stock August 31, 2022 Lorraine just wore Emma Willis’ Next collection from head to toe March 17, 2020 The prettiest spring dresses under £100 March 1, 2022 Everyone is buying Holly’ s gorgeous gingham Oasis dress May 14, 2020 13 bargain dresses to buy in ASOS’ s extra 20 per cent June 10, 2020 This £20 H& M dress is set to be the social media June 26, 2020 Stacey Solomon x Primark is back for a third collection with July 20, 2020 Searches for this perfect heatwave summer top style are up 5000% August 10, 2020 Popular CategoriesFood2704Life2496Fashion2240Beauty1738Celebrity1261Interiors684 Sign up for YOUMail Thanks for subscribing Please check your email to confirm (If you don't see the email, check the spam box) Fashion Beauty Celebrity Life Food Privacy & Cookies T&C Copyright 2022 - YOU Magazine.
