While our best dresses and smart office wear has been cast to the back of our wardrobes, we’re spending most days in lockdown in our comfiest (and, currently, warmest) clothes. Needless to say one item of clothing we’re certainly not sporting at the moment is a crop top, largely because, well, the temperatures outside are quite literally below freezing. Yet despite the nation’s desire for a comfy WFH wardrobe, and the practically sub-arctic weather conditions, many high-street retailers are stocking cropped styles of tees, tops and knitwear on their sites. That’s when shoppers took to social media to express their frustration at such styles, demanding longer lengths and comfier cuts. Just three days later, fashion retailer Nasty Gal replied to the tweet, saying: ‘We don’t know if ASOS got the message but we did? Shop ‘Not a Crop’ here #NotACrop’.
