Channel 4 She’s also proven that she’s a woman of her word, staying true to her suggestion that she would have one of the judges’ critiques tattooed onto her. During caramel week, Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood encouraged Lizzie to introduce more “finesse” into her bakes, refining her signature “rough and ready” (if delicious) style. At the time, Lizzie hinted that she would need to get “finesse” tattooed on her body – and now she’s revealed that she’s actually gone ahead with the plan. Lizzie shared a photo of the ankle tattoo – showing a cute little whisk with the word “finesse” on its handle – on her Instagram. The photo also shows fellow baker Freya, who was eliminated after her vegan bakes failed to hit the mark with Paul and Prue. Freya’s tattoo shows the same whisk, this time with “GBBO” written underneath. Although Lizzie may have been constantly criticised by the Bake Off judges for her lack of finesse, she nevertheless survived caramel week, and is now down to the final five contestants. Channel 4 Last week saw the departure of George Aristidou from London, whose bakes certainly didn’t go to plan, with a curdled tart and unfinished technical challenge. “I had a terrible day and it was a flipping nightmare” he said afterwards. The other remaining contestants are Chigs, Crystelle, Giuseppe and Jürgen – who are you backing to win?
