To the soundtrack of Lola Young’s cover of ‘Together in Electric Dreams’, the two-minute advert tells a joyful story of friendship, as a young boy, Nathan, meets a space traveler called Skye, who has crash-landed in woodland near his home. Their friendship develops as Nathan introduces Skye to Christmas traditions, from decorating the tree with fairy lights, to sharing mince pies together. John Lewis While in past years, John Lewis has produced merchandise such as cuddly toys to support its Christmas advert, this year the star of the show is a cute festive jumper, worn by Nathan and handed as a gift to Skye before she departs back to space. Nathan wearing the Christmas jumper in the John Lewis ad Although in the advert Nathan’s jumper lights up and plays Jingle Bells, the design sold by John Lewis is a classic knitted design, a conscious decision by the brand to make a more sustainable product (it also means it’s easier to wash, which is handy!) John Lewis will also be donating 10% of the profits from each jumper sold to its Give a Little Love charities FareShare and Home-Start UK. As well as the jumper, we’ve got our eyes on some of the gorgeous decorations featured in the advert, all of which are (you guessed it) available to buy at John Lewis.
