Whether we need new make-up essentials, day-to-day toiletries, or even over-the-counter medicine, we rely on it for everything that’s stashed in our bathroom cabinets and beyond. However, as the world continues to move towards a digital retail approach, there’s a legitimate fear for the future of high street shopping. But ever the innovators, Boots have taken a major step to ensure that modern shoppers continue to enjoy in-store experiences by introducing a new beauty studio set-up. Boots The high street giant is set to undergo a brand new millennial makeover which will see it getting rid of its traditional beauty counters for the first time in its 170-year history, in order to replace them with new open-space glam rooms. Think open furniture, trend-driven zones and discovery areas, Instagrammable ‘play stations’, and spaces for live demonstrations. The plan is to create a ‘beauty lover’s playground’, and we for one, are very excited for it. Boots The revamp is set to take place in 24 Boots stores across the country in the next month, with all of the original beauty halls being transformed into the new interactive spaces. ‘The ambition has been to shake up our current beauty offering to create an open and inspiring environment where customers can explore and play,’ says Joanna Rogers, Commercial director and VP of beauty and gifting at Boots UK. Boots According to Rogers, the new space will be ‘a place to excite [the shopper] where they can try and buy the brands they want, from on-trend colour cosmetics for as little as 70p to premium beauty under one roof.’ As always, customers can expect to see their favourite brands – both luxury offerings like Chanel and to smaller brands and boots own products. There will also be a set of newly-recruited Boots own beauty specialists on hand to assist and advise customers. ‘We really wanted to create a community of like-minded individuals who will love their jobs and give our customers a wonderful experience,’ adds Rogers.
