From Roman Holiday and Breakfast at Tiffany’s to My Fair Lady and Sabrina, Audrey Hepburn stared in a number of Hollywood hits, and was known and loved (and still is) for her impeccably elegant style. Getty Images Now that her life is to be immortalised on the big screen, here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming Audrey Hepburn biopic. Who s been cast in the Audrey Hepburn biopic Two-time Oscar nominee Rooney Mara has been cast to play Audrey Hepburn, surely a dream role for any actress. Rooney is also producing the film, with Call Me By Your Name‘s Luca Guadagnino as director. The rest of the cast is yet to be revealed. Getty Images What s the plot Hepburn lived a vast and colourful life, and it’s not yet been revealed which part or parts of her life the film will focus on – or if indeed it will attempt to cover all of it. Having spent her formative years in the Netherlands training as a ballerina, Audrey’s family lost their fortunes during Nazi occupation and struggled to even feed themselves. Moving to London in the 1950s to be cast in various small roles, Hepburn soon caught the eye of Hollywood and went on to become one of a few actresses to lay claim to an EGOT (that’s winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award). As well as her humanitarian work, Hepburn was a notable fashion icon (on and off screen). Essentially, the biopic has plenty of rich stories to draw upon, no matter what timespan it focusses on.
