YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Beauty Bourjois beauty products will no longer be available in the UK By You Magazine - December 6, 2019 Whether it’s foundation, lipstick, blush or bronzer, if you count a Bourjois product amongst your holy grail line-up, there’s some bad news about to hit your make-up bag. The parent company that owns Bourjois has confirmed plans to withdraw from the UK market, in order to focus on its other lines. Alamy Stock Photo Speaking to Cosmopolitan, a spokesperson for American group Coty, the business which owns the French beauty line, explained of the announcement: ‘We can confirm that following a strategic review of Coty’s Consumer Beauty brands in the UK we’ve made the difficult decision to exit Bourjois. ‘This will allow us to focus to a far greater degree on our priority Consumer Beauty brands,’ they added. The move means that bestsellers including the brand’s Healthy Mix Foundation, Rouge Edition Lipsticks, Chocolate Bronzers and iconic Little Round Pot Compact Powder Blushers will no longer be stocked in your local Boots or Superdrug. Coty also recently purchased the majority stake in Kylie Jenner’s eponymous make-up offering, Kylie Cosmetics, at a reported cost of $600 million, so it’s possible that a UK launch is on the horizon here too. And if there is a Bourjois staple or two that’s become an essential in your current daily routine, we’d recommend stashing a few more away now, while you still can.
