The 33-year-old actress and UN women’s ambassador grew up around the TV studio – her father was a cinematographer on long-running comedy series Married with Children. ‘That’s maybe why I feel so comfortable on set,’ she says. BIG BREAK Landing the role of feisty, stylish paralegal Rachel Zane in Suits in 2011 (season four is on air in the UK now), set in a top New York law firm rife with intrigue, backstabbing and romance. In the US it has six million viewers per episode – more than Mad Men and Girls put together. Meghan told us, with some astonishment, that Suits is ‘the seventh most pirated show in the world’. Its global success still surprises her. When she found herself in a bar in Rwanda last year with the UN, she suddenly heard her own voice. ‘It was me as Rachel – they even have Suits in Rwanda.’ Meghan with co-star Patrick J Adams in the fourth series of Suits THAT’S NOT ALL Meghan, who lives in Toronto with her rescue dogs, is also the founder of lifestyle website The Tig, named after the Italian wine Tignanello. Her first sip was an ‘a-ha!’ moment when she ‘got’ what wine was about. The site is dedicated to more of her food, travel and lifestyle discoveries as well as ‘Tig talks’ – interviews with her favourite high-profile ‘influencers’. FORMER LIFE ‘I was a calligrapher.
