YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Beauty September s YOU Beauty Box Reviews By You Magazine - September 1, 2017 Max Factor False Lash Epic Mascara This is a great product! Not only do my lashes look substantially longer with this mascara, they are also so much more defined. The unique brush shape makes it easy to reach even the shortest lashes and creates a gorgeous fan shape from the lashes. I was seriously impressed. Steph McGonigle Yes To Coconut Ultra Moisture Conditioner This product smells lovely and is also extremely conditioning and nourishing. They say you should change your shampoo and conditioner brand every now and then to reap the benefits of the change, I certainly enjoyed the change with this product. The range is inexpensive yet effective with the powers of Virgin Coconut Oil and Kukui Seed oil that softened and smoothed my hair. Charlotte Ashton Weleda Jardin de Vie ‘Grenade’ – Sensuality I’m a bit obsessed with natural beauty and skincare products but I haven’t really dabbled in the world of natural fragrance until I tried this. Weleda are one of my favourite skincare brands and now I have one more thing (at least) to add to my basket. This perfume is on the sophisticated and grown-up side of fruity and lasts for hours. It’s really unusual and memorable and I love that in a fragrance. A fab (and free) little discovery! Holly Wadsworth-Hill Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Recosntructor Deep Treatment Sachet Years of balayage has taken its toll on my hair and I seem to be in a permanent battle against frizz. This deep treatment conditioning product gets to work in 3 minutes and left my hair looking so, so much tamer that I have since bought myself a full-size bottle and have taken to using it twice a week. The sachet packaging makes this ideal for weekends away too. Holly Wadsworth-Hill This Works sleep plus+ hair elixir I’ve always been a sucker for an essential oil and religiously put This Works deep sleep pillow spray on my pillow every night so when this product was confirmed on this month’s shortlist I was super excited. Before going to bed I spray it directly on my hair from root to tip (probably like 6-8 sprays) and the smell is just heavenly! Not only did it help me sleep because of the smell but I also woke up with very smooth and shiny hair. Cassie Hallala Beauty Kitchen Seahorse Plankton 5 Minute Miracle Mask Usually I aim to do 2/3 face masks per week to keep my skin feeling fresh. I tend to go for different masks each time to mix it up a little. After using Beauty Kitchen’s 5 Minute Miracle Mask, my face instantly felt firmer. I love the fact that it’s natural too! Cassie Hallala St. Tropez Gradual Tan Tinted Lotion I’m a fan of St. Tropez already but swear by the instant mousse so I was intrigued to try the gradual one. I’m slightly impatient with beauty preparation so I’m not usually great with a gradual tan, however I was surprised at how quickly this became a lovely golden colour. I applied after the gym in the morning and by the end of the day my legs looked like I’d spent the day sunbathing, rather than behind my desk. I would always recommend buying a brand like St. Tropez rather than the cheaper alternatives (after many green, streaky attempts). Dru Ryder Benefit gimme brow volumizing eyebrow gel This is a product that I carry around with me at all times. It is my handbag essential – over mascara, eyeliner, blusher. I’m a latecomer on the trend of looking after your eyebrows but I had the revelation a few months ago that it really does transform your appearance. For me, who is by no means confident with all of the eyebrow pencils, pens and powders, this is my saviour. It’s a mascara for your eyebrows – what could be simpler!! Dru Ryder Bioderma Hydrabio Cream I have combination skin and get horrible oily forehead syndrome every now and then but I also suffer from the odd dry patch on my cheeks and nose. I’m not sure what causes this but I am always on the look-out for a super strength skincare product that can zap dry patches in an instant and this does precisely that. I was so impressed with this and have recommended to several friends with dry skin who have also been amazed at how quickly it hydrates and soothes. Well worth a try. Holly Wadsworth-Hill dr.organic Moroccan Glow Body Polish dr.organic is one of my favourite brands on the market and I can’t recommend them highly enough. If you’re looking for combinations of natural ingredients that really get the job done, whilst being gentle on the skin and kind to the environment then you need to check these guys out. This gorgeous body polish makes a great pre-tanning exfoliator but, tan or no tan, it also makes an effective weekly body scrub to keep skin silky smooth and glowing. Holly Wadsworth-Hill Neal’s Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm Introducing one of the most versatile products out there! This cleansing balm is the brands best-seller. Balms tend to be a hardened mix of different oils that are held together by beeswax – causing them to melt upon contact with skin. This product is unique because it can be a cleanser, exfoliant or nourishing balm, suitable for all skin types! Packed with rosehip oil, this product smells gorgeous and helps to repair the skin too.
