To do this, lots of fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands have brought out one-off, limited-edition items (oft bedecked in rainbows in the spirit of the LGBTQ+ pride flag). Unfortunately, not all brands put their money where their mouth is, but there are several brands out there who are donating a portion of their profits (or making a one-off donation) to charities that support the LGBTQ+ community here in the UK and around the world. Here are 11 of our favourite brands that are genuinely supporting causes and charities that are tackling the issues faced by LGBTQ+ people… Fashion Levi’ s Levi’ s Pride Sports Bra, £25, Levi’ s Levi’ s has produced a line of rainbow-ed tees, denim and accessories, with 100 per cent of net proceeds going to OutRight Action International, a nonprofit working to defend and advance human rights for LGBTQIA+ people around the globe. Levi’ s donate to OutRight Action every Pride Month, which helps to support their work all year round. Converse Converse Pride Chuck 70 High Top, £85, Converse Converse teamed up with young LGBT+ creatives to reimagine a series of the brand’s classic high tops, sliders, T-shirts and more. The collection benefits Converse’s longtime partners globally and locally, including the It Gets Better Project, Ali Forney Center, BAGLY and OUT MetroWest. Calvin Klein Calvin Klein 2 Pack Triangle Bras – Pride, £37, Calvin Klein Calvin Klein has released its #ProudInMyCalvins collection, which features rainbow underwear, bras, clothing, accessories and more in celebration of LGBTQ+ pride month – plus the brand will be supporting ILGA World, the worldwide federation of more than 1,700 organisations from over 160 countries and territories campaigning for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex human rights. Radley Radley Beach Close – Pride, £109, Radley Radley has created this chic reversible beach bag, which supports Stonewall in their fight for the freedom, equity and potential of all LGBTQ+ people around the world, as 20 per cent of the sales made from the Pride bag will be donated to the charity. Dr Martens Dr Martens 1461 For Pride Smooth Leather Shoes, £119, Dr Martens Dr Martens has released a special Pride edition of their 1461 leather shoes, with rainbow flag embroidery, rainbow lace and heel loop and multi-coloured tonal stitching through the uppers. The brand has confirmed they will be donating to three charities in celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride Month, including akt, Jugend Gegen Aids and Le Refuge. Beauty Starface Starface Rainbow Hydro-Stars, £8.99, Starface Not just for Pride Month, this rainbow edition of Starface’s popular Hydro-Star spot stickers are now a permanent fixture for the brand. All net proceeds from the Rainbow Hydro-Stars in the UK will be donated to Black Thrive, which are committed to protecting and uplifting Black and LGBTQ+ lives. UpCircle UpCircle Face Moisturiser with Argan Powder, £18.99, UpCircle UpCircle haven’t released a specific Pride product, but they are committed to supporting the charity AKT (who support LGBTQ+ young people facing homelessness) all year round, as well as working with a minimum of 50 per cent LGBTQ+ creators in all paid partnerships. Nails Inc John Lewis Nails Inc Relationship Status: Proud Collection, £22, John Lewis Curated to celebrate diversity, with a fresh take on the classic rainbow, Nails Inc’s pastel-toned set of four nail polishes dubbed ‘Relationship Status: Proud’ will donate 25 per cent of the profits to Stonewall. Beauty & Seoul Beauty & Seoul COSRX Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser, £10, Beauty & Seoul Like UpCircle, K-beauty site Beauty & Seoul hasn’t released a one-off Pride product, but rather they make a monthly donation to Stonewall, who campaign for the equality of lesbian, gay, bi and trans people across Britain. Lifestyle PopSockets PopSockets Pride 2020, £9.99, PopSockets Known for their charity partnerships (through their Poptivism collections), PopSockets has released a special Pride collection of PopGrips designed by fashion designer Henry Holland. Fifty per cent of all proceeds will go to the Albert Kennedy Trust and they will be available to buy throughout the whole year. Boy Smells Osmology PRIDE Extra Vert Scented Candle by Boy Smells, £39, Osmology Queer-owned candle brand Boy Smells prides itself on celebrating and promoting a ‘genderful’ lifestyle and universe. For LGBTQ+ Pride Month, they are releasing a range of five new scented candles, including Extra Vert, Dynasty, Rosalita, Philia and Ambrosia, available from 14 June. Ten per cent of the proceeds made from The Pride Collection sales will go to The Trevor Project, now through the end of of July, with a minimum donation of $100,000.
