One of my favourite shows in recent years has come to an end and in my opinion far too soon Love, Victor began streaming in 2020, and was one of my FAVE pandemic binges, along with Never Have I Ever. The Love, Simon spin-off follows Latinx teenager Victor Salazar, who moves to a new city with his family hoping to start afresh and figure out who really is. Love Victor has garnered an enthusiastic fanbase and has been praised for its inclusivity and wholesome storytelling Despite its success Hulu announced earlier this year that season three of the show would be its last which is pretty devastating imo seeing as the show set up so many new stories at the end of season two Speaking on the show ending, showrunner Isaac Aptaker told Radio Times that "we had really told the story we set out to tell... It felt like a really natural, full circle ending point." Whether you agree with the show ending or not we can t deny that it is indeed over So let s find out where all the main characters of Love Victor have ended up after three amazing seasons 1 Michael Cimino as Victor Salazar In season one, Victor is questioning his sexuality and writing to Simon from the original movie for advice. He soon figures things out and begins dating Benji, but their relationship is plagued by problems from Victor's parents not accepting he's gay to Benji's alcoholism. Even though they feel like different characters by the end of season three, they decide to put everything behind them and get back together. Whether they go the distance I guess we'll never know, but at least Victor has a much firmer grasp of who he is by the show's finale. 2 George Sear as Benji Campbell Benji is openly gay and is the object of Victor's affections during season one. When they get together, things seem to go south for Benji. He starts out as a happy-go-lucky guy, but his problems with alcohol addiction and his complicated relationship with Victor seem to consume him by the end of the show. At the end of season three, Benji looks set to transfer to a new school, but Victor wins him back with one final declaration of his love. I can't help but feel like Benji would've benefited from a change of scenery though. 3 Isabella Ferreira as Pilar Salazar Originally, Pilar is NOT happy to be moving to Atlanta, since it means leaving her friends and her boyfriend behind. The Billie Eilish stan fights with both her parents, but comes around when she starts to make friends at school and because she wants to be supportive of her brother, Victor. Pilar begins a relationship with Felix in season two, and though they seem perfect together, by the end of season three they're in a more platonic place, and actually, it's quite nice! 4 Anthony Turpel as Felix Westen Remember when Felix was known as Lone Stone? Victor's BFF has come a long way, rising up from "school dork" to fairly popular guy. Felix has a huge crush on Lake at the start of Love, Victor, and I think their ensuing relationship is a really affirmative experience for them both. We also see how difficult Felix's home life is when it's revealed he is the only support for his mother who is living with bipolar disorder. Through it all, Felix becomes super close with the Salazar family; he even dates Pilar for a while! Not gonna lie, I definitely shed a little tear when Pilar dragged him into the Salazar family photo in the finale! 5 Bebe Wood as Lake Meriwether Lake starts out as not much more than Mia's best friend and the resident Creekwood gossip girl, but she becomes a really integral part of the show when she dates Felix. Lake slowly begins to realise over time that popularity and her reputation aren't as important to her as being true to herself. Her relationship with Lucy in season three allows Lake to explore her attraction to women, and I think the fact they end up together is really awesome for both of them! I'd love to know what Lake does next because she's definitely the most driven of the cast, but c'est la vie. 6 Rachel Hilson as Mia Brooks Mia is one of the first people to welcome Victor and Pilar to Creekwood High, and even though she's the most popular girl in school, she's actually also a nice person as well – bit of an innovative move for a teen drama! Mia dates Victor whilst he's still in the closet, and is heartbroken when he kisses Benji at the end of season one. She moves on from him by looking for the mother who abandoned her, but in the end, Mia finds a brand new family in her stepmother, her dad, and their new child. She chooses to go and live with them at the end of season three, and honestly, it's super nice to see her find what she was looking for all along! 7 Mason Gooding as Andrew Spencer Andrew goes on a real journey over three seasons of Love, Victor – I mean, look at how pent up and angry he looks in that first pic! He starts off as a massive dick bent on making Victor's high school experience difficult, but he softens as time goes on, ultimately becoming friends with him. Andrew dates Lake and Lucy, but it's really Mia he loves. Their relationship helps Andrew go from a vindictive meathead to genuine, self-sacrificial guy. 8 Anthony Keyvan as Rahim Rahim joined the show in season two as a friend of Pilar, but he quickly strikes up a friendship with Victor whose relationship with Benji is on the rocks. Rahim wants Victor to be a Simon-like savant to him, but in truth, Rahim helps Victor just as much as Victor helps him. They don't ever get together per se, but they do become friends eventually. Rahim's ethnic and religious background is explored further in season three, and the difficulty in being Muslim and gay is brought up when his devout uncle comes to town. Through it all, Rahim manages to accept himself and learns to be unapologetically gay, which we love to see! 9 Ava Capri as Lucy Lucy begins life on Love, Victor as Benji's friend and Andrew's girlfriend. She hooks up with the latter in the summer in between seasons one and two, but when Andrew makes it clear he's into Mia, they break up. Lucy then begins dating Lake after a change of heart. They are really good together, but when Lucy says she wants to move away from Shady Creek after high school it looks like they are over and done. Ultimately, Lake finds a way for Lucy to start afresh and stay in Shady Creek with her, which is super cute! 10 James Martinez as Armando Salazar Victor's father moves his family from Texas to Georgia on the pretence of finding a new job, but really he and his wife Isabel are moving away from the man Isabel had an affair with. Though he is a protective and loving father and husband, Armando is quick-tempered. When Victor comes out, his dad doesn't understand straight away – especially given how Armando ~definitely~ assumed Victor was straight and almost encouraged it. However, he puts in the work after Victor tells him, and ultimately carves out a new, supportive relationship with his son. 11 Ana Ortiz as Isabel Salazar Played by the iconic Ana Ortiz, Isabel goes through a lot over three seasons! She moves her family across the country, tries to start over professionally, temporarily separates from her husband, and, perhaps most significantly, struggles to accept that her son Victor is gay. Ultimately, after some religious soul-searching and several PFLAG meetings, Isabel becomes Victor's biggest advocate. Check out episode eight of season three to see how far she's come – it's amazing!!
