YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Travel Hotel review Royal Hideaway Corales Beach By Rosie Green - May 19, 2022 Tener-chic? This hotel delivers on sun and sophistication. Tenerife is known for its plentiful sunshine, inexpensive flights from the UK and cheap and cheerful holiday packages. It has not been known for its chic. Until recently. In the past decade there has been a slew of luxury hotel openings, sophisticated restaurants being awarded Michelin stars and wellness focused retreat offerings. Royal Hideaway Corales Beach At the vanguard of this is the luxury, adults only Royal Hideaway Corales Beach. (The family welcoming Royal Hideaway Corales Suites is next door). Located in Adeje, an easy 20 minutes from the airport, The Corales Beach is an impressive sight. Rising from the hillside, the all white design is reminiscent of a sleek ocean liner. It feels fresh and modern and grand, but not overwhelmingly so. It’s an easy walk to La Caleta – shops and local restaurants on a picturesque sea front. The black sand beach is five minutes walk away. Royal Hideaway Corales Beach hotel review Rooms and Facilities Every room has an incredible sea view with a generous balcony. The beds are so big you can easily lose your partner and the rooms are equally spacious. The bathrooms are luxe and stocked with Temple Spa products. There’s a bath big enough for two and a walk in shower. Royal Hideaway Corales Beach Outside there are two pools, one in the gardens with views towards the sea, the other a spectacular roof top pool that has a beach club vibe. In the sister hotel next door there is a free well-equipped gym and a spa which has an outdoor pool. Think hydro massage jets, steam and sauna rooms plus heated stone beds to recline on – though you do need to have paid for a spa treatment to enjoy this. Food and drink The breakfast buffet is a slick operation, so whilst busy, it never descends into a bun fight. There is every conceivable culinary option – from healthy to decadent. And frothy coffees keep coming at pace. There is a Michelin starred restaurant within the hotel and more fine dining at the sister hotel. These restaurants have London levels of sophistication, but, warning, that does come at a price. Oh, and dress requirements mean men need to pack long trousers to dine in them. There is a buffet style evening dining option for those who opt for full board, which is good, but guests we spoke to said after four or five days the novelty had worn off. For less expensive eating options you can easily walk for a few minutes to the sea front eateries of La Caleta. Hotel highlights The cocktails on the roof top pool deserve a mention – they look as good as they taste – with Instagram worthy presentation. Sipping on them, listening to the DJ’s mellow sounds and staring out over the infinity pool to the ocean feels heavenly. As does strolling along the sea front deciding which restaurant will get your trade. Royal Hideaway Corales Beach What to do nearby The adventurous can go jet skiing on the sea and paragliding above it. Plus there is the Plaza Del Duque shopping centre and coastal golf course nearby. Horse riding available on request. For more information on the Royal Hideaway Corales Beach hotel, click here. Prices start from 320 euros per night on a B&B basis.
