YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Uncategorized YOU Beauty Box July s Jet Set Edit review By You Magazine - July 1, 2016 Our beauty insiders disclose their top choices from this month’s amazing YOU Beauty Box… Aethic – L’Air Bien In-Flight Face and Hand Cream This product really leapt out at me this month because I usually make the ghastly 28-hour flight back to New Zealand at least once a year. Keen to try it, it did not disappoint. I haven’t been able to give it the full test during a long haul flight but it really drenches the skin so I know it will work wonders in keeping my face and hands hydrated at altitude. Smelling sweetly with amaranth oil and goji berry extract this left my skin feeling extremely supple too. Even if you’re not flying long haul anytime soon this product is still worth nabbing for summer. Juliana Kluts Hawaiin Tropic – Satin Protection SPF 15 What I love most about this sunscreen is that it leaves the skin with a pretty luminosity. Plus, it smells so sweet! It’s more water resistant than other brands out there, which means you get a little bit longer in the ocean or pool before re-application. It gives UVA and UVB protection and I just can’t get enough of the yummy coconut smell. Juliana Kluts Illamasqua – Precision Ink Eye-Liner Liquide in Abyss I use liquid eyeliner every day and like all girls I have never quite perfected the perfect line on both eyes. Either it’s too gloopy or the pen is too thick or thin. Illamasqua have the perfect solution, not only does it give you a dramatic bold line but it really does just glide on, making it easier to perfect the skill of liquid eyeliner! And with a brand like Illamasqua you are safe in the knowledge that this will not run out or dry up any time soon, which means this will be staying in my handbag for months to come! Dry Ryder Marks & Spencer – Rosie for Autograph Nuit Parfum Is there anything Rosie can’t do? First lingerie, make up and now a fragrance collection to die for! I love slightly deeper scents and this fragrance provides the perfect balance of floral notes combined with a little musk; not too heavy for work but sensual enough for an evening out. To make it even better, neither the product nor its ingredients have been tested on animals – so you don’t have to feel guilty whilst wearing it! Brogan Wright Philip Kingsley – Swimcap Who wants great looking hair this summer? Me! I do, so I’m turning to Philip Kingsley’s incredible Swimcap to help my pool / beach locks, it’s an absolute winner! It guards against discolouration and damage to the hair, which is easily done thanks to sun, chlorine, salt, water and wind. This is one of the first haircare products I’ve tried that has UV protection in it. I know you might think that sounds strange but your hair undergoes a lot of stress and damage in the heat. Its also super conditioning so it’s a complete travel must. Originally developed at the request of the first US Olympic Synchronized Swimming Team, Swimcap has been carefully developed and is a very trustworthy product that actually smells delicious. Don’t go on holiday without this! Charlotte Ashton Carmex – Peach & Mango Burst Moisturising Lip Balm Carmex has always been my go-to lip balm whenever I’ve been suffering from chapped lips, and whilst I’ve always been a huge fan of the original tinned option, I was hugely excited when I received the new peach and mango flavour! It comes in a tube, which makes it slightly easier to carry around, as it fits in your jeans pockets and doesn’t rattle around in your bag. As expected, it’s hugely moisturising and also contains SPF 15, so is perfect for protecting your lips from the sun. The peach and mango scent is lovely and stays on without being overpowering. Overall, a great addition to the Carmex collection! Brogan Wright Resultime – Regenerating Collagen Gel As it turns out, this is one of the brands star products, perhaps in part because its amazing formula combines 14 molecules found naturally in the skin with a brand patent – Vectorised Micro-Collagen. The results? Well if you can hang on in there for 21 days you will start seeing great improvements in skin smoothness, hydration and plumpness. In other words this is a great product to fight against early signs of ageing and better still, is suitable for all skin types. This summer it can actually double up as an after-sun mask too to soothe any possible sunburn. I don’t tend to burn but it’s going to be one of my travel washbag heroes for certain. I will be using it as an overnight sleep mask to wake up glowing and refreshed for a fun day in the sun on holiday. After all, prevention is better than cure! Charlotte Ashton White Rabbit Skincare – Lime & Coconut Cleansing Water So lazy am I past 10pm, that I consider women who don’t use face wipes most nights to be some kind of amazing Goddess-type beings. I know they are the ultimate skin-sin and I really do try to knock the habit on the head but it’s not always easy. I am pleased to report that this cleanser has raised my enthusiasm for my evening beauty regime about 100 per cent. It smells totally amazing and leaves my skin feeling refreshed and alive. I took it on holiday with me last month and it felt great after a day in the sun. I’m a changed woman – for now at least! Holly Wadsworth–Hill St Tropez – NEW St.Tropez Gradual Tan In Shower Lotion Medium I’m a fake tan addict and I have used nearly every type from instant to moisturisers that build up colour. But after all of the years of being orange I’m very fussy on having a natural colour that doesn’t go streaky or patchy within days. On top of that I’m super lazy and like to put a moisturiser on before bed and wake up with a tan the next day. This shower tan is my ultimate must-have beauty product, solving all of my issues. I’ve used all of the instant St Tropez range before but this has got to be the most fuss free and natural tan I’ve had. Within 3 minutes you’re glowing and beach ready. Dry Ryder Alpha-H – Liquid Gold As a 30-something Mum with kids who would rather do anything but sleep, there are mornings when I look in the mirror and truly recoil at the weary looking woman staring back at me! With a name like Liquid Gold, I had high hopes for this little beauty and I am thrilled to report it didn’t let me down. This fantastic night treatment instantly (and I mean seconds) felt like it was making a difference – prepare yourself for the tingle. I have used mine every other night (without my usual night moisturiser) for ten days and my skin looks visibly smoother and less haggard. I know this is a huge claim but I cannot stress enough how amazed I am by this product! Holly Wadsworth–Hill Rimmel London – Rita Ora Glaston-Berry Nail Polish I love a bright red nail and there’s something about this shade that really brings out a chic essence. A vampy and very on-trend shade, this nail polish is also ridiculously easy to apply and goes on so much neater than most. The new and improved long-stay formula and 60 second dry time are no joke either – and let’s face it, who has time to watch paint dry!? I will be snapping up a selection of shades this very lunchtime!
