YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Uncategorized YOU Beauty Box June s Energising Essentials Edit review By You Magazine - June 1, 2016 Our beauty mavens reveal their top edit from this month’s amazing YOU Beauty Box… Ladival – SPF 15 I love a full size product in the shortlist so I was quick to grab this great 150ml sunscreen from German brand, Ladival. I’m incredibly sun-smart in aid of staying wrinkle and cancer-free and over the last few years I’ve been obsessed with spray sunscreens. This smells amazing, is non-greasy and suitable for use on even the most sensitive skin types – it ticks all the boxes in terms of extra protection too. It’s SPF 15 and protects against UVA, UVB plus Infrared-A rays – so important as I come from Down Under where the ozone layer is even more lethal on your skin. I can’t wait to take this to the South of France on my impending holiday! Juliana Kluts Nails Inc – Porchester Square This is definitely an energising essential! I am loving this Nails Inc Porchester Square polish; sitting between grey and lilac, this is the perfect pale for your collection. As a base I also used the Nails Inc Nail Kale to really prolong wear. Nail Kale features in the Best of 2015 Limited Edition Box so I’ve gone all-out on my nails this month! Juliana Kluts PRO:VOKE – Liquid Blonde Colour Activating Treatment Shampoo Having blonde hair is hard work, so to find a product that stops it going either too yellow or too dull is a lifesaver. I would always recommend using specialist shampoos for blonde hair as it’s so important to not only keep the colour right, but to condition it properly. This product does both and also smells great! Dry Ryder Bubble T – Revive, Stimulate & Restore Macaroon Lip Balm With summer approaching chapped lips are often an issue when we’re exposed to the sun. This lip balm not only smells amazing but intensely moisturises the lips, whilst also providing a protective barrier and sealing in moisture. The perfect handbag essential! Brogan Wright Kneipp – Back Comfort Devil’s Claw I can be found in the gym most days that end with ‘y’, so a massage oil like this could not have been more welcome! The oil is very efficient, you can feel it working its magic to soothe and release tension. We are all prone to tension in our neck and shoulders whether it’s from sitting incorrectly at your desk all day, carrying heavy bags or general wear and tear; personally my shoulders are a real pain. This muscle relief has one particular muscle-loving secret ingredient, extracts of the Devils Claw plant, native to South Africa. It’s renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties so make sure you make the most of this fantastically calming product and ease away those aches and pains. Charlotte Ashton KIKO – Velvet Touch Creamy Stick Blush Kiko couldn’t have picked a better name for this product – it really does glide onto the skin like velvet! Perfect for all skin tones, this blusher provides the perfect amount of colour on the cheeks, leaving a dewy finish – ideal for mastering that ‘barely there’ look we all love crave for summer. Brogan Wright bareMinerals – SkinLongevity A new look and feel for the bareMinerals existing skincare line, the launch of SkinLongevity. This Vital Power Infusion is designed to reawaken and help maintain your skin’s vibrancy. In other words, it’s designed to leave your skin glowing – yes, I like the sound of that too! The key ingredient to this success is the Long Life Herb, known as Choumeisou in Japanese, a place where residents are supposedly known for their health and enduring wellness. After a few uses, this key ingredient certainly starts to leave its healthy glowing mark, so stick with it! I apply this lovely light serum to my face and neck morning and night at the moment (after cleansing), and I’m definitely seeing results! Charlotte Ashton Nails Inc – Uptown I am terrible with my nails – I can’t keep them chip-free for longer than a couple of days (at best) and have always been useless at applying nail polish. These Nails Inc polishes are honestly a total must-have – they glide on smoothly and neatly and dry super quick, so mess is minimised and easy to fix. I gave mine two coats (in bed whilst watching Netflix) and they didn’t smudge overnight (this in itself is a small miracle) – the fact that they stayed perfect for 5 whole days (without touch-ups) is above and beyond. I’m not using anything else – EVER. Holly Wadsworth–Hill Balance Me – Congested Skin Serum I suffer from oily skin and get breakouts. I’ve tried everything to help and a lot of the time have to turn to really harsh products that can damage the skin. This month, Balance Me has proved itself the perfect solution to this. It helps your skin feel clean and clears up breakouts – but the best thing is that it’s totally natural. Dry Ryder Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser I don’t know if it’s age, a lack of sleep, too much caffeine, my punishment for too much sun in my 20s or a combination of everything, but my skin is changing and Murad is currently helping me to put the breaks on! Ever since I discovered this brand through YOU Beauty, I have been hooked. This intensive cleanser instantly revived my skin and polished away the dullness that I had been trying to conceal with make-up and trust me, all the contouring in the world can’t do what this fab skincare treatment does! I cannot recommend this product or Murad highly enough. Give them a try and see for yourself.
