YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Uncategorized YOU Beauty Box The Cult Beauty Edit review By You Magazine - May 1, 2016 Our beauty experts reveal their top picks from this month’s amazing YOU Beauty Box… L’Occitane en Provence – Thé Vert & Bigarade Eau de Toilette It’s hard for me to “cheat” on my devotion to Coco Chanel Mademoiselle but this zesty spritz has really impressed me. It’s an aromatic union of green tea and orange and I now have it firmly located in my gym bag so it’s perfect for a refresh post-workout. Juliana Kluts SHOW Beauty – Pure Treatment Oil My hair is battle-worn from years of colouring, styling, pollution and sun so I always welcome a good treatment oil into my regime. In my eyes this month’s SHOW Treatment Oil is a must-select – it’s full size, so it’s amazing value for money and it comes in beautiful packaging – oh and yes, it makes my tresses silky smooth too! Juliana Kluts Rodial – Stem Cell Cleansing Cream I’d heard so many amazing things about Rodial that I needed to see what all the fuss was about – and definitely wasn’t disappointed. This cleanser is brilliant for my dehydrated skin and feels really gentle (probably because so many of their ingredients are natural!). I may have found my new favourite cleanser. Dru Ryder MUA – Prime & Conceal Palette Initially I was a little daunted when I saw the Prime & Conceal palette, as it looked as if I needed specialist training in order to use it. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to apply the makeup. Any of the colour correcting creams can be applied underneath your usual foundation and all have specific correcting benefits, whether you’re looking to minimise redness or brighten any particular areas of the face. Sarah Hamilton NUXE – Huile Prodigieuse Did you know that, according to research, this is France’s leading beauty oil? I actually discovered this beauty favourite last year whilst I was away on a summer holiday. Not only is this a multi award-winning product, it’s also multi-purpose for body and hair. Now I was skeptical about using it on my hair because surely an oil would leave my locks greasy? But actually it really adds a lovely shine to your hair. Otherwise add it to your haircare routine pre-shampooing and prepare to be amazed when you blow-dry your freshly cleaned hair. This also really helps to give a pearly sheen effect to your legs; great if you’re starting to pull out the summer dresses! A few drops in your bath is also divine as it smells amazing. What’s not to love about this power-product?! Charlotte Ashton Anne Semonin – Eye Express Radiance Ice Cube If, like me, you’re prone to tired looking eyes in the morning, this is the product for you. The ice cube miraculously helps to tighten the skin around the eyes, making bags appear much smaller and brightening the appearance of the eyes. Perfect for mornings when you’ve had very little sleep the night before! Even better, the ice cubes are also said to have anti-ageing benefits. Sarah Hamilton Burt’s Bees – Tinted Lip Balm ‘Spread a little TLC with Burt’s Bees’ is what the brand advises… Well, I can happily confirm I’ve enjoyed spreading 8-hours of moistiure on my lips! Like the iconic Burt’s Bees lip balm, this tinted version adds a hint of natural colour (‘hint’ being the key here for me, I’m not big at wearing bright lip colours) whilst nourishing and moisturising your lips too. I really like the Hibiscus shade and better still, if Hibiscus isn’t your shade, then don’t despair, as there are seven other hues to choose from. Slightly off kilter, but what I love about this brand is their support of bees themselves who, did you know, play a bit part in the planet’s ecosystem. They are connected with critical human and environmental issues and are vital to keeping us all busy bees (pun intended!). Don’t miss the tinted lip balm in this month’s ‘Cult Edit’. Charlotte Ashton Revlon – Ultra HD Lipstick I’m usually only one for nude lipsticks but with the sun shining a bit more I thought I’d try this summery shade (I tried Hibiscus). As well as staying on for ages, this lipstick was the perfect hue to brighten my day and worked well in the evening too!
