YOU Magazine Fashion Beauty Celebrity Health Life Relationships Horoscopes Food Interiors Travel Home Celebrity Harry Styles to become a CBeebies star By Sophie Hines - May 16, 2022 We’re used to seeing Harry Styles performing at various music awards across the globe or owning the stage at Coachella, but the star is about to take on a very different role, appearing on the BBC channel for little kids CBeebies. That’s right, it’s been announced that the former One Direction singer will be reading a CBeebies Bedtime Story on Monday 23rd May, and we cannot wait. Getty He may be used to donning flamboyant stage outfits, but for this Harry will be popping on his pyjamas to read ‘In Every House, on Every Street’, written by Jess Hitchman and illustrated by Lili la Baleine. The story is a heartwarming celebration of homes and the different families that live in them. The announcement that Harry would be taking on this cute role was met with much surprise and joy on social media – the BBC Press Office tweet alone received over 3,800 likes and lots of positive comments from Harry fans (who we imagine may be tuning into CBeebies for the first time this May). It follows on from another surprising move from the singer in the past few weeks – appearing on the cover of Better Homes & Gardens magazine – which proves Harry is nothing if not hard to predict. (@Harry_Styles) April 26, 2022 Harry is far from being the first music star to take on the honour of reading a CBeebies Bedtime Story – Ellie Goulding and Dave Grohl have previously taken a turn, as have actors Tom Hiddleston and Rose Ayling-Ellis. He’s also following in the footsteps of actual royalty, as the Duchess of Cambridge read ‘The Owl Who Was Afraid Of The Dark’ by Jill Tomlinson back in February. CBeebies Bedtime Stories is on each weekday at 6.50pm on the CBeebies channel and is also available on BBC iPlayer.
